Born in 1938. Grew up in Greenwich Village, New York City. Lived in California and Mexico. Worked as a free-lance journalist in Mexico. He wrote, "I have worked for many years as a freelance foreign correspondent, a job description that dignifies the trivia of political exile. Social strife in the Third World is a particular attraction. Which is to say, for a long time now I've been moving around Latin America looking for trouble." Died in Mexico in January 2011.

Emmy-winning television producer, writer, and composer has penned a beautiful informative rhyming picture book, All About Bears. Take your young muse on an exploring adventure of the many types of bears throughout the world and their geographical habitats. Learning is now just for the young, but all that endear to instill the love of reading and environmental conservation near and far. Bravo to John for creating this exhilarating picture book and to Imasha Chethani for the whimsical illustrations.

Book on Bears

Awesome book about all the different bears in the world. Very educational. Cute and colorful illustrations. Kids will love the rhymes and pictures. Parents and teachers will be pleased to have a great book to read to kids to teach them about bears. A fun book to take on a camping or road trip!
