This book was very educational and encouraging. I always respect anything that teaches children to be more involved in nature and in protecting and tending to nature. I do wish it were more kid friendly to read because for some children it might be a bit too boring, like pure fact and not creatively written for the child to enjoy. Overall it's a 4 out of 5 because at least it has a good message and isn't just pointless.

This book has great information. The text and photos make it look outdated. Nice book overall, if a family with children is looking to attract birds to their backyard. I feel that the author should of talked about cleaning of bird houses, bird baths, and bird feeders (especially bird feeders since unclean bird feeders call lead to birds developing conjunctivitis).
