A beautiful and very healthy cookbook by a fine chef!
Author Barbara Bennett is well established as both a chef and a healthy eating coach. Her books to date include THE COMPLETE AIR FRYER, SOUS VIDE & INSTANT POT COOKBOOK, AIR FRYER COOKBOOK: 2000 DAYS OF RECIPES, and now she offers MEDITERRANEAN DIET COOKBOOK WITH COLOR PICTURES, a richly colorful and easy to use guide for preparing the foods of the Mediterranean Diet – that universally acclaimed ‘most healthful diet.’ After a fine discussion on the Mediterranean diet and its virtues, Barbara delivers recipes for Breakfast, Beans Rice and Grains, Fish and Seafood, Pizza Pasta Bread, Poultry and Meat, Soups and Stews, Vegan and Vegetarian, Salads and Sides, Sauces Spices Dressings Toppings and Staples, and Appetizers Snacks Sweets and Desserts. Not only are the recipes each presented with number of servings the recipe provides, the prep time, and the cook time, but the ingredients are exact and clear, and the instructions escort the chef from beginning to end including how to serve the dish. Each recipe is accompanied by a very beautiful and artistic color photograph of the dish - a very helpful adjunct!
The recipes offered include some novel and unique dishes that, prior to Barbara’s fine book, may have seemed impossible to create, but with this cookbook the wide range of dishes become part of the readily available taste treats. This is a very positive additive to the ‘let’s cook at home – creatively’ movement. Recommended.
