A good overview of 3 areas from the 60s. First observation is that the work the Finn Eero Saarinen most probably busy unique and pity that airports are full and not like his design. Another Finn Eero Aarnio chair is a classic as well but here the Italians have made their mark as well. Now as general observation is that our current design is very cubical Vs the 60s that was more rounded and much more cozy. In fact he old machines have better design that any new one. Ok colours are bit old fashion but that could be related to the spectrum of rays that the sun sends over (Yeap). Another one is that Apple was trendy among the hipsters of that time , the fool by sImon and marikje...

More re-reading, ah Taschen you cannot go wrong with sheer design porn such as this. Gorgeous. I remember buying this at my first visit to Salts Mill, Saltaire in 1997. I'd been in Leeds on and off for around nearly 5 years at that point and was about to leave to move down to London for a new job. I was a bit pissed off at myself at the time for not going sooner.

Gorgeous, gorgeous photos of 1960s designs, from buildings to badges.
