How would you react if you found out your husband was cheating? Especially when there were none of the tell tale signs just an accidental confrontation due to an incidental run in. Do you blame yourself or do you blame your husband? Where do you go in the relationship from here? See one woman’s story to recover her life from adultery, lying and confusion.

Alicia Rowe believes everything is perfect within her marriage to Arlington. But her image of all that they have is shattered when she runs into a woman claiming to be his girlfriend. As would anyone in this situation, she turns to her friends for advice and support, which turns this big situation into a monstrosity. In the end, Alicia must figure this one out by herself.

Decisions emotionally based can be a horrible thing more so when you make based on them based on logic. Deondriea Cantrice smacks you in the face from the beginning capturing your attention and keeping you there till the end. This is emotionally charged read has lots of twist and turns and an ending you will never believe.

I tell you I love the wisdom of a seasoned godly woman and the advice they can give. I tell you. I was into the stories of each woman. I felt sorry for the main character, she was totally disillusioned even to the end she could not see herself. Sad. As for the rest of the ladies, I could relate. Once you get your heart broken a few times, you do give up. Secondly, being a christian woman you must stand firm in His word and not create your own word by setting you desire higher than God's desire.

I give this book four stars because of the language. I believe the story could have been just as good if not better without the cursing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Deondriea a few months ago in Memphis & she's a great person with an even greater spirit. I must say this was an awesome read, a real eye opener for all us "strong, independent" women. Emotions Lie has a very positive meaning behind it. As women we do make decisions without thinking everything through, and rely on our emotions to think for us. We also go to our friends, who also giving their advice on their emotions, not on what the truth should be. I'm blessed to say I have friends that will put me in place like Ms. Shirley does.

This was really a good read. While I do like happy endings, I am impressed that this book ended in a way that depicts reality for some. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

Meeting the author of this awesome book last year was amazing. She is a great person with a wonderful gift. When Emotions Lies is a great read. Alicia got on my nerves with her self-righteousness though. If you are looking for a book with a great storyline and relatable characters, this is one for you. I wonder what will happen next!! Hmmmm....
