A cartoon's life is based by its simplicity, as the story remains in focus. Isn't a cartoon's life similar to the stories you tell to friends or family? They know just the outline of it, but what truly matters is too complex to describe. Some things have to be experienced. You are the only one who can picture your true self, the rest see you as a collection of such cartoonish stories.
"Split" is a poetry collection that tries to describe exactly that, which can rarely be described by talking. The collection is the result of what the author, a late teenager, has either experienced himself, or heard from loving friends. With this book he tries to paint some depth into what it really was like, or what he thought his friends tried to tell him.
Incredible work! I felt a deep connection to the author and was really touched by the way he manages to convey his emotions through each poem. The collection feels authentic and thoughtful. Definitely recommend it!
