Just because it's niche porn doesn't mean it needs to be that bad. A chance grab at a second hand book store gained me Blood Deep where despite being a signed author edition (Maggie, whomever you are, I have your book!) Sharon Page delivers immensely disjointed, slightly incomprehensible concoction of disjointed plot threads and ill timed sex scenes. Quasi-kinky vampire/werewolf/demon mmf threesome romance, clearly coming in at the end of a trilogy. Zayan and Lukos appear to have been the bad guys in the last two books. One's a satanic sacrifice from dark ages England, the other a Roman general, one has demon powers and the other is some sort of werewolf analog. The way the powers are written here come across as Gary Stu-esque attempts at cool better suited to a teenage girl's first foray into fan fiction- I'm not saying I haven't written crap this bad myself, indeed the blistering awfulness gives me hope I'll be published some day, but this stuff doesn't even appear to have been enthusiastically edited.

Our former villians have just broken from hell and formed a grudging truce for the moment. Zayan has a prophecy about needing to find a perfect bride hanging over his head, one guy thinks the other guy stole his sister while the other one just wants his kids back. Both happen upon the coach of Miranda Bond, who is running away from home to throw herself into the arms of a disposable sort of lover/ erotic pen pal, and decide the best way to amuse themselves is random magic sex. Having spacetime distorting magical powers that include creating holodeck style getaways, they endeavour to screw each other silly while failing to get along and half halfheartedly fighting a not very important seeming great evil. Miranda Bond has magic healing powers, including the restoration of the dead. Part of a secret vampire hunting society decides to eliminate her, characters from the last two books freak out that their magical vampire babies have a bad case of failure to thrive.

If "he turned into a wolf and shot a ball of light out of his hands" does not inherently turn you on, or if you like your porn a bit less random than having them pop from bouncing carriage to pillow filled harem tent and from mortal enemies to indulgently sucking each other's cocks without giving up the former loathing, this book is not for you. If you want some sort of sensible resolution other than being unable to tell what in the ever loving fuck is going on with magic fog, and the subplot with the lover Miranda was going to see at the start of the book producing a random sex dungeon but not doing anything with it, again, skip this book.

If you're desperate for a porn where the woman gets to have two dudes, especially if you think things like Twilight would have been better resolved by turning love triangles into ménage à trois, read grudgingly to give publishers the idea there's money in this and maybe something better might come of it when there's money for more editing or a higher volume of submissions.

As the back blurb says: WARNING! This is a REALLY HOT book!

Normally I don't go for late 1800's historicals but Sharon Page's paranormal Blood Series captivated me from the first. Ms. Page definitely writes erotica! There are episodes of M/M, menage, light BDSM and just general sexual exploration. But there is always love.

The series centers around "the power of three", with a menage couple starring. This tale shows the forging of the third threesome with strong but innocent (sorta) Miranda being nabbed by two vampire demons who have just escaped imprisonment in Hell (the real thing). Miranda is on her way to ask her 'penpal' Lord Blackstone to marry her in order to save her family as her weak Uncle Simon has a bit of a gambling problem and because Miranda's vampire-slayer aunt whom she lives with informs her that the Royal Society wants to keep or kill her for the hidden magic Miranda has. By the way, Miranda can bring the dead back to life, a talent she has been told to keep hidden but has brought out to save the lives of children one too many times. Now the Society's vampire hunters are out after her.

As Miranda's sexual fantasies are played out with the two gorgeous vamp demons, her gift allows her to see into their hearts, see what horrors caused each of them to agree to the undead life and she falls in love with both of them. She also convinces the two enemies to become a part of her loving family and bond with her. So as they each fall for the sweet Miranda, they learn to sacrifice for others and understand what real love is. Then Miranda offers them a great gift, and uses her power to return their forfeited souls, even at the expense of her own life.

So yeah, this book deserves its REALLY HOT rating but rest assured, there is love at the end to make all those kinky experiences lovingly done with consenting adults.

I love reading Sharon Page’s books, although this is not her best story it was pretty good.

Another of her erotic stories involving a 3 way love triangle and the message is that Love wins over evil. This eroticism in this book is prevalent throughout the story.

Miranda Bond has some power, she can heal, she is not sure why, but when she discovered it at 12, her Aunt Eugenia, a Vampire Slayer, told her to keep it a secret. Miranda is now 22 and has recently been threatened with death by a rogue vampire slayer and has decided to run. Her running happened the same time 2 evil vampires/demons Lukos and Zayan escaped from the prisons where they had been held in for a long time and they take her prisoner or did they? They awakened her sexuality that’s for sure.

The story was pretty well written and makes sense most of the time, I did get a bit frustrated with Miranda at one stage but I got over it. I love meeting characters from other books, here we meet again Anthea and her husbands Bastien & Yannick and Serena and her husbands Drake & Jonathon. Roll on the next story.

Blood deep is the 3rd book in the Blood series. It redeems the series. While I loved the main heroes & heroines in Books 1 & 2, as I mentioned in my review of Book 2, the plot of Book 2 sort of fell apart. S. Page pulled it back together for Blood Deep. There was a menage, MMF, again; I assume this is a recurrent them for this series. It's hot, raw, and needy, the sort of erotica reading that you expect from Sharon Page, and also one of the reasons why I personally keep returning to her books. Blood Deep is full of twists and turns. I remember reading it, and I could not put the book down. I looked at how much I read. I realized I read up to 70% without even coming up for air. That's a good book! While it is important to have read Books 1 and 2, it isn't essential. Blood Deep's two main heroes were the villains from Books 1 & 2 but in this book, they were written as heroes so they just seem like different characters. Sharon Page fleshes out their backgrounds; now, the reader understands what drives and motivates them. These once one dimensional characters evolve to become multidimensional. Sharon Page does an excellent job of crafting this story.

Another compelling story. The ending… so unexpected… which I liked. Miranda’s men, Zayan and Lukos, were captivating to read about. Their pasts were unlike most ‘heroes’ and what bought them together, it was really clever.

Still surprised that yet another erotic book can have such a fascinating storyline. Will definitely continue reading these.

Wow, winter holidays are almost over and my initial thought of writing some extra articles (as I thought I would have more time) vanished and I am happy to write at least one. I suck, I know but worse things happen...
I remember back in the day discovering Black Dagger Brotherhood series by Ward and thinking: “Omg, the sex scenes! There are so many, I’m reading porn!” and later I started grabbing all those books marked as “romance” which became since that time on my code for porn. Little did I know that those were really just romances with something hot to spice them up a little because when I got to this book, I finally understood the difference between romance and erotica or what they call it.
I mean, in romance books, the author always waits till at least page 100 to get the people intimate. Before that page, they get to know each other (within a week or so) and then they make love, realize they are soul mates, and eventually they get married and get down to the reproduction road (that usually takes them another week). In erotica, however, people get down to business the moment they meet. Or in this case, they are “plagued” by sensual dreams so that when they finally meet it’s like they already know each other.
The story (there really is plot) takes place in the 19th century and basically reveals some more troubles poor vampires have when there are two of them and they want the same woman. Result? Why not share... The whole series (I think) is about a woman getting both the yummy guys she wants, so if you find this idea just too preposterous, don’t read it. There is a longer storyline about vampires/slayers and how the monsters are kinda OK while the slayer society has some rotten pieces inside but that is really superficial because the main focus is on the woman saving the two guys she wants to have fun with.
So, this is what the porn for women looks like. It’s not visual because we are creatures focusing on our emotions prior to the visuals. It’s hot, it’s entertaining, and they are gonna get married and have kids, because nothing screams marital stability like ménage a trois put together in record time.

"Blood Deep" is a really, really hot, historical erotica book from author Sharon Page. It's the third of her 'Blood' series, but easily stands alone. Those who don't enjoy menage situations and tons of sex involving one, two, and three people should stay away from this one. Those who DO enjoy that, will also probably like the light bondage and oral, anal, and vaginal sex that goes with it!

Miranda is just trying to save her family. She's exchanged letters with Lord Blackthorne and even had some dark, erotic dreams about him. So when her family's finances become critical, she hares off to suggest marriage and hopefully a loan for her family. But when her carriage is stopped not far from her destination by two men, who BOTH attract her and refuse to let her go, Miranda isn't sure what's going on. These men are telling her bad things about her possible-betrothed, but who should she believe?

Zayan and Lukos are enemies, and vampires. They escaped from hell and are now intent on staying free and Miranda's powers are just the ticket. But they have some pretty powerful enemies and all three of them will need to work together to defeat the denizens of hell.

Heavy on sex, not so heavy on plot. But still enough to entertain for a few hours and cause a wicked hot flash or ten!!

Miranda Bond becomes the captive of two vampires (Zayan and Lukos) who have traditionally been enemies to each other. Her power to restore life ceases to be such a well-kept secret and she becomes a player in the struggle between vampires, the vampire queens, demons and vampire-slayers. Miranda and the vampires must learn to harness the power of three as they explore the sensual magic that they can harness together to change their world.

Personally, I found Blood Deep to be a slow (aka boring) read. The sex scene's were decent, but overall it was a very forgettable book and it no longer resides on my Kindle.

Not as engaging as I hoped

At the beginning it was a little difficult to follow but then it got easier. the intimate scenes I feel should have been a little more than they were.
