成书相对较早（2008年），因而现在（2018年底）看有些过时（移动互联网时代），特别是调查部分。印象比较深的是对“技术民族主义”的分析以及我国从文化定义到政治定义（民族国家）的梳理，以及网络行动的三个类别：“退出”，“呼吁”，“忠诚”。
