Sir Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, 3rd Baronet, OBE, better known as Ranulph (Ran) Fiennes, is a British adventurer and holder of several endurance records.

Fiennes has written books about his army service and his expeditions as well as a book defending Robert Falcon Scott from modern revisionists. In May 2009, aged 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest. According to the Guinness Book of World Records he is the world's greatest living adventurer.

An equally adorable and interesting book about the Transglobe expedition's furriest explorer. Truly delightful, with the unmistakable wit of two true terrier owners, this is a book that never disappoints. Through retellings of Bothie's trouble-making tactics and the personal writings of Ginnie, this book makes for a unique and often unseen aspect of explorations.

Such a good story about a Jack Russell mutt, Bothie, who stood on both poles this planet, told in very British understatements and with wry humor. A very different sort of adventure tale that focuses on the dog’s exploits as much as it does on the incredible feat that took Bothie on such a journey.
