A native New Yorker, RITA-winning author Annie Solomon has been dreaming up stories since she was ten. After a twelve-year career in advertising, where she rose to Vice President and Head Writer at a mid-size agency, she abandoned the air conditioners, furnaces and heat pumps of her professional life for her first love—romance. An avid knitter, she now lives in Nashville with her husband and daughter.
Hank is a good guy and as a cop you like him anyway. He has family issues and a murder to solve. I loved this book. Wasn't sure where it was going but it was actually quite interesting with the Russian mobsters.
Had a few parts that made me kind of frustrated but overall a good book. I'm not too picky when it comes to writing style or vocabulary so, in my opinion, this was an enjoyable read.
Hard to follow story at times, not sympathetic toward female main character. Liberal use of various forms of "Jesus" as swear word detracts from my attention to story. Enjoyed last 50 or so pages much more than rest of the book.
