Love or Music… Which should they choose and what price do they have to pay?
If bad boy, Mac Whitehead believed in ancient legends, he’d know exactly what to choose, no matter the cost…
Meanwhile, despite hot rockstar looks and a raspy voice, nothing is going his way. Mac blames Tully for his run of bad luck. And he’s convinced Kit is the solution to all his problems. But Mac has never paid any attention to Kit before, not even when she had a crush on him. She knows it can mean only one thing. He wants something.
But what could possibly persuade Kit to help arch-enemy, Mac Whitehead?
This short book is an interesting insight into the Kit and Tully universe. I haven't read the other books in the series, but this one can be read as a standalone story.
It's quite refreshing to read a story from the point of view of the bad guy, it's impossible to have much sympathy for the main character here and I found myself hoping everything goes wrong for him.
Zero chance is the 4th book in the Kit & Tully series by Mocha Von Bee. I absolutely loved everything about this novel. The story was brilliant with a great mix of characters and short enough to read in one sitting. I loved this book as much as the other 3 books in the series and really look forward to reading more by Mocha. I highly recommend it. 💖I was gifted a arc e book of the novel in exchange for a honest review.
Zero Chance was an interesting addition to the Kit & Tully series. It's book 4 and gives the reader a different perspective in the mix - Mac. I didn't know this POV would be so interested - not to say that made me like this character more, though. Interesting to see Tully come back and some of Kit and Tully interactions from a fresh POV. Now I'm curious what will happen next!
This one does stand well on its own but would definitely be more enjoyable if you already know all the characters. This is book 4 and I recommend reading the first 3 before this one.
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.
"Zero Chance" by Mocha VonBee is the fourth book in the Kit and Tully series. This story— which is told from Mac's perspective provides a lot of insight into his inner thoughts, feelings, fears, and the reasons for his behavior. It was very interesting to follow Mac along on his journey as he tries to navigate his current place in his career and life as well as deal with conflict between himself, his family, his friends, and the people around him. And the inner conflict he is dealing with in regard to the choices and decisions he has made. I really enjoyed reading all of the Nick Drake references! They mirror Mac's struggles and feelings in regard to his career and have added a certain poignancy to his story line, especially the reference to "Fruit Tree." Reading Mac's story— I feel like I understand him better now. I was surprised to see how perceptive he is. Mac really knows how to read the people and situations around him. He is also very wily and is skilled in knowing how to manipulate the people around him in order to achieve the outcome that he wants. Despite how poorly Mac treats and uses the people around him— this book has added a lot of emotional complexity to his character. It was interesting to see how affected he is by Felice and to see how in some ways they are quite alike. They are both driven by their self-reliance, have trouble acknowledging their own feelings, and keep up an image to present to others in order to protect themselves. Not to mention their ever present search for spontaneity and danger. But of course, Felice although often misunderstood— clearly cares about the people around her, especially Kit. So far, I think Mac acts very much if not entirely out of self interest. It was great to see the other characters again! It felt like visiting with old friends. Although I am having trouble forgiving one of the main characters for his actions. The author continues to do great work further developing the characters and story. I applaud Mocha's ability to help us better understand Mac and to comprehend his personal struggles despite his terrible behavior and very flawed characteristics as a person. It was also interesting to see Mac feel uneasy in the presence of Mike Meara and to realize that something isn't quite right. This continues to add to the mysterious and compelling atmosphere of the story. I highly recommend this book and series! Thank you very much to Mocha VonBee for providing me with a digital copy to read and review honestly.
As with the rest of this series so far, I absolutely loved this one! Told from what I thought would be a slightly odd perspective going into it, I thought the way it worked with Mac telling the story actually worked out great given where the story went in this fourth book. While I'm still not a particularly big Mac fan, I did love getting a short stay inside his head, seeing what he thought of everything, and he was the perfect person to be able to fill us in on both sides of the Kit & Tully relationship with where it stood during this one. I think I loved this one even more than the last one and I'm looking forward to seeing how the next one goes and whose side we get to hear it from.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author Mocha VonBee for an ARC copy of the book so I could write this honest review.
We are back in the Kit and Tully world and boy was a I glad to be back even though we were following my least favorite character Mac. He reminds me of a fuck boy who thinks he should have everything. He has rock star personality but does not want to put in the work to be a rock star. Though I definitely don't like Mac and I don't think this book was meant to make you like him all that much I liked seeing his point of view. I can tell knowing his thoughts will be important later on. One bad thing I can say about this book is I felt like I was missing part of the story from the last book to this book. Did I miss a part where Kit and Tully Broke up? I mean I am glad to see them back together but what. I can't wait to see how this series goes though, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next book.
"Zero Chance" by Mocha VonBee is a compelling and engaging story that seamlessly blends elements of romance, mystery, and the supernatural. The narrative revolves around the character of Mac Whitehead, a bad boy with a streak of bad luck, and Kit, who finds herself entangled in Mac's quest for redemption.
VonBee crafts a unique premise by incorporating ancient legends into the storyline, adding an intriguing layer of mystique to the plot. The tension between Mac and Kit, fueled by Mac's belief that Kit holds the key to solving his problems, sets the stage for a dynamic and unpredictable relationship.
The characterization is well-executed, with Mac's bad boy persona and Kit's reluctance to trust him creating a magnetic dynamic. The author skillfully explores the complexities of their interactions, keeping readers guessing about Mac's true intentions and Kit's potential involvement in his endeavors.
The incorporation of a supernatural element adds depth to the narrative, creating a sense of wonder and excitement. The pacing of the story is well-managed, with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and eager to uncover the mysteries surrounding Mac's run of bad luck and Kit's role in it.
The dialogue is sharp and witty, contributing to the overall enjoyment of the book. The author successfully captures the emotional nuances of the characters, allowing readers to connect with their struggles and desires.
While the romantic tension between Mac and Kit is a central focus, the novel also weaves in elements of self-discovery and personal growth. The characters undergo significant development throughout the story, adding a layer of depth to the romance.
"Zero Chance" is a four-star read that combines romance, mystery, and the supernatural with finesse. Mocha VonBee's storytelling prowess shines through, delivering a captivating and well-crafted narrative. The book is recommended for readers who enjoy a blend of romance and intrigue, with a touch of the mystical to keep things intriguing until the very end.
Things getting more interesting in the series as we get Mac Whitehead -- the allegedly villain who almost taken Tully's dream and opportunities away! I think it's such an interesting choice to have Mac's POV for the fourth installment, as we get to see how Mac as the outsider of the four main characters circles views them and Tully's success as he trying to get the "abandoned" Kit's favor to help him regaining his popularity for his music.
Another well-written and captivating story from Mocha! While it doesn't really change my feelings towards him, it feels refreshing to read the perspective of Mac's life. It gives us new understanding for the characters, while not losing the grip on the main character's relationship. As things get more complicated, I can't wait to read the next one because I really have no idea what's going to happen next!!!
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for the e-ARC copy of this book
Mac gets to tell his side of things, in this episode of the Kit and Sully story. A different way to look at things, which made for a very interesting read. I am really liking the journey Kit and Tully’s romance is taking (definitely not your run of the mill love story). Looking forward to the next book.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Although it was quite refreshing and intriguing to read a novel from the villain's perspective, I did not find myself sympathizing and overall caring about the protagonist which truly affected my enjoyment.
Thank you to the author and the publisher for this ARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
In this book of the Kit and Tully series, we get Mac's version of what happened. Self-centered and feeling wronged, Mac tries to get back at Tully and make a name for himself by himself. When he fails miserably, he threatens vengeance, which we will have to wait and see what happens in the next book. These are short stories but keep you hooked and wanting more.
As with the rest of this series so far, I absolutely loved this one! I think I loved this one even more than the last one and I'm looking forward to seeing how the next one goes and whose side we get to hear it from. Now on to book 5!!!
Thank you NetGalley and Indie Ink for allowing me to read this ARC for an honest opinion.
Zero Chance is Book 4 in the Kit & Tully series and is told from Mac Whitehead’s point of view.
Frustrated by the way his career has stalled, Mac sees an unexpected opportunity in Kit’s enforced separation from Tully. All the girls love him and he’s used to getting his way. Besides, Kit liked him before, so how can she possibly resist him now?
But like everything in life, if it seems too easy, there’s usually a catch. When Kit remains immune to his charms, Mac is forced to focus. He needs to stop getting distracted and come up with a solution, quick, because Tully is coming home…
