Mr. Armstrong has produced a savvy piece of work, relating the senses of man to the underlying earth. The world contains everything, hard and soft living, and his poetry does a very nice of job of mixing all the facets of the world into an intelligent web of ideas. Name a subject and it's probably mentioned with colorful description. He has strong input on how the body lives and evolves off the land, rather controlled and multi-dimensional. He maintains a strong sense of growth patterns. A bit of artwork is scattered through the work that creates a long-lasting image in favor of the playing words around them. And the titles stand out. Titles can alter perception, and his thought-out titles roll off the tongue and bring value to the work. The title piece is a favorite. A very insightful and non-delicate collection.

A powerful collection of poems that speaks to a mythical shared beginning that ties us all; while inhabiting the loneliness and frustration of us in this modern world. Brian does not hold back any shots.
