It's all supposed to be pretend. Get fake married, have a kid, prove I can have a family, and I get a billion-dollar inheritance from the father I always hated. It's all pretend, until I say I do. And suddenly, I don't want sweet, innocent, sassy little June just for now. I want her forever . We're supposed to play the part for the cameras and the lawyers. I'm not supposed to fall for her. I'm not supposed to want her like this. I'm not supposed to totally lose myself in claiming her body, and possessing her, and just wanting more of her. We faked it at the altar. But there's no faking it in the bedroom. It's all supposed to be pretend. But once I get my hands on her, she'll know I'm playing for keeps. I'm her first. She'll be my last. She'll be my everything, forever, even if she doesn't know it yet. This was all about the money at first. Now, it's all about her . Contains mature themes.

The book was ok. I loved it in the beginning, but then the baby situation came into the picture and I was lost. For one, I couldn't understand why the heroine was so obsessed with having a baby. I know the money went for a good cause, but for me, it was borderline obsessive and out of character. Tiago was also stuck on his ideas about the baby and things got really bad. The worst thing is that they had an amazing beginning in their marriage life and everything was going on great. The Marriage of Convenience trope is one of my favorites and even though I was expecting the drama, I didn't expect it in the form(s) we got it. There was some doubt about the feelings in their relationship and I feel like it wasn't resolved as it should have been. I felt like we just got a cheap patch to fix everything that was wrong. And don't let me start on the way a character got his/her memories back. It was ridiculous. I feel like up to the baby plot we got a good, strong book and after that everything went down. It's like another author wrote the first part and another the second. This is my second book from this author and I have to say that it was an improvement. I liked the main characters for one. I hope that the writing will keep improving and I would like to see some of the author's future releases.

it could have been a good story. But it is very annoying to see that someone can be so strong willed and accomplished in her job, fierce and passionate in bed, can be such a dense and insecure person in all personal matters...

Tiago and June

Tiago needs to get married to meet the conditions of the inheritance left to him by his father, so he picks June. June, who is a patron in his bar that he hasn't really taken the time to know, has a thing for Tiago and is shocked by the request to get fake married.

If you take this story at face value, it was actually a good book. The writing was solid and I really liked the characters, and the sex was super hot. It's just going to depend on what you're looking for when you go into this book.

The only thing that threw me was how obsessive June became with having a baby. I think it wouldn't have been so bad had she and Tiago actually talked to one another. That's the down side of marrying someone you don't know when your insecure, and you basically solve everything by having sex instead of saying what needs to be said.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..I was disappointed in this book. I think it had a lot of possibilities and to me it just felt short. At the beginning of their relationship I felt like there really was not much of a story line just sex, and then sex and then some more sex. I am not a prude I like as much as the next person however I do like a story line. I get it we have a fake relationship, I even liked how they knew each other, which they really didn't she was just a patron at his bar I just wished they got to know each other more, I couldn't understand how they loved each other when they seemed to barely talk or spend time with each other unless it was sex..

Sweet and spicy romance from a fake marriage to a real one.

Troy Duran, as usual, does his sexy narration with easy. Jillian Macie is a new to me narrator. She also did a great job.

Accidentally Yours is a consensual arrange marriage.
Tiago is a sexy bar owner and bartender that although had access at money and anything he dreamed of when young,he walked out of that life and made a simple life.
When his father died ,Tiago had to have an arrange marriage to inherit the money for him to be able to help his best friend daughter who needs a very expensive surgery. In order to achieve that he is proposing to the mousy girl that is enjoying a glass of wine in his bar every now and then, always alone and with a book on hand.
June is a 24 years old woman who owns a charity ong that helps children with the same needs that she had when she was young. She has a crush on Tiago and when he purpose and tell her the real reason she accept it.
From there we can see the sparks and how their supposedly fake marriage is turning into a real one as they get to live their love story.
It was an easy read ,I finished it in one sitting and liked it overall ,especially Tiago's strong believes in friendship and how he really cared for June. There are many sex scenes, very descriptive and hot, this couple can't keep their hands off each others.
I also liked that we have both Tiago's and June's point of views,it helps a lot to picture the characters.
I would have liked to read a more description of the surroundings when they were on their honeymoon and although I loved the idea of helping people and the hole fake marriage turned real, there were things that I didn't like it as some scenes were very similar to a movie that I've seen and this book is nothing like the movie plot.

Accidentally Yours is a standalone romance by Ilsa Ames. If you love the marriage of convenience/arranged marriage trope, then this book is for you.

I am a huge fan of the marriage of convenience/arranged marriage trope, however, I was a little disappointed with Accidentally Yours. We have two people,Tiago and June, who admire each other from afar. When Tiago is set to inherit his father’s fortune, the only speculation is that he has to get married and have a baby within the first two years of marriage.

While Tiago and June are on their honeymoon, they discover they are really attracted to one another and want to give their marriage a real try. I loved seeing the great chemistry between them and OMG the sex was HOT!! Unlike other books I have read with this trope, you can tell within a few chapters how much they care about one another. My issue was when they broached the baby topic. June and Tiago had a rough time communicating. She wanted to try this and that and he did not want to listen. Yes, I know this is a book but let’s face it, even book couples need communication.

They do face another challenge, one I will not discuss, and they have to really work to try and save their marriage. One has to learn to fall in love with the other all over again. It’s emotional at times but it is really great.

All in all, Accidentally Yours was a good read. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

The story revolves around Tiago, a bartender who inherits a fortune on one condition: he must get married and have a child within two years. Tiago doesn't want the inheritance, but he needs the money to help his best friend's daughter with heart surgery.

Tiago proposes a fake marriage to June, a shy and reclusive woman who frequents his bar. June agrees, and they get married. However, their fake relationship soon turns into real intimacy, and they start a genuine romance.

As they navigate their relationship, they face challenges, including fertility issues and trust problems. Their relationship deteriorates, and June decides to leave Tiago on their first anniversary. But fate has other plans, and June gets into an accident, resulting in amnesia and a fractured leg.

The story takes a dramatic turn as Tiago searches for June and eventually finds her in the hospital. Despite her amnesia, they start rebuilding their relationship, and Tiago realizes how much June means to him.

The book has a satisfying conclusion, with June regaining her memory after a passionate encounter with Tiago. The epilogue jumps forward in time, showing the couple happily married with twins.

While I enjoyed the book, it felt overwhelming at times, with too many plot twists and challenges. Nevertheless, it's a heartwarming romance that explores themes of love, trust, and redemption.

If you're looking for a dramatic and emotional read, "Accidentally Yours" is worth checking out.

The marriage of convenience is one storyline that I love reading about because I enjoy reading about two people getting married for some reason and then accidentally falling for each other when that wasn’t the original purpose of the marriage. This story covered all the parts I enjoy of a marriage of convenience storyline with a lot of steamy and hot moment.

June was a strong independent woman that cared for people women. I found her to be an admiring character that did a lot of good for people.

Tiago was a hot character that I loved reading about because of the things he was willing to do to help his Goddaughter. It showed how much a good guy that he was.

Accidently Yours is about Tiago whose inheritance came with a few conditions before he could receive any. He must get married before he gets a portion of the money. Enter June who Tiago has known for a few years and he comes up with the idea to asks her to be part of his plan to receive his inheritance.

I enjoyed the story and the characters in the story. I liked the way that they were two completely different people and I found that made them good together. There was a lot of chemistry between them and a lot of emotions. Accidentally Yours was an enjoyable hot short read.

I didn’t get super far into this story before Audible made it unavailable. But my impression from the first couple hours were meh. The male MC started off as someone I was interested in reading more about based on the writing style and his description, but then the book’s plot took a HARD left turn (I didn’t read the description, I like picking books blind) and it kinda lost me. There were too many stipulations to fulfill for his inheritance for me to believe a relative stranger would agree with them. Not only get married but have a baby too? And she’s not a family friend or the person his dad demanded he marry? She doesn’t know this guy at all, having a baby with this guy means she’ll be tied to him for life, and she wasn’t even sure how she felt about custody for when they would separate later on. I don’t remember any paperwork being signed and I don’t remember her consulting a lawyer to protect herself and the future child, which is insanity. This was all just a little too far outside the realm of suspended belief for me. I was gonna try to finish it to see if there was anything interesting to hold onto, but alas. I’ll give it a 3 because I really didn’t dig into the meat of the story.

Accidentally Yours by Ilsa Ames is the story of Tiago and June.
June in a introvert running a non-profit organization to help kids deal with parents in prison. June has been coming to Tiago's bar for a few years to set their quietly and read while watching him. June has a crush on Tiago but knows that has far as it will go. Tiago's awful father died and left him everything with a catch that he needs to marry within the month, stay married for a few years at least and have a child with the first two years of marriage. If not for his god daughter Layla who needs a heart transplant he would have told the lawyers to take them money shove it somewhere. But he could us it to save her life so he thinks to approach June to be that bride.
What started out as a friend business deal starts to change for both of them so as they agree to it.
Really enjoyed their story...could not put it down!!

Marriage of necessity stories can go so many different ways depending on the reason for the marriage, how the characters know and feel about each other to begin with, just so many things. I am sometimes hesitant to read them because when things are too convenient I have a hard time falling into the story. I was so pleasantly surprised with Tiago and June's story! There was a level of heart and genuineness that I wasn't expecting or prepared for. Plus, getting to see a couple who actually belongs together find their way there through some pretty unique and unusual circumstances is fun! Also always nice to see the wallflower girl who doesn't believe she's pretty discover all the things that make her beautiful at the hands of a handsome man.

If you need a light, fun romance, this one's a great choice!

I love this trope. Guy needs to get married ASAP to inherit money, business, etc, etc. I really wanted to like this more than I did but I found it hard to connect with the characters. I felt that they fell for each other rather quickly and didn't feel like we got to see their relationship once they were married evolve. I get that she was crushing on him before but I still would have liked to see more of foundation built between them. I could have done without I would have liked to see more of the drama of them dealing with all that.

The book also had a lot of sex. Now I'm not a prude, I've read pretty much every Alexa Riley book out there. LOL but it got kind of boring. Great idea but I just wanted more I guess.

Tiago has been attracted to June for quite some time. When his dad screws with him - even in death - June is the first person he thinks of to help him. June is drawn by the unselfish reasons for the quickie marriage and readily agrees, though she's unsure of how her heart will end up if their arrangement ends.

I liked that both parties were upfront about what they hoped to gain from the marriage material-wise. However, I wasn't fully sold on the love aspect of it all. There were many sweet moments which I loved. There was obvious chemistry from the beginning, but I felt that the author sort of let that cloud the story line a bit much.

That being said, Ilsa Ames is an author I'd read more of in the future.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This story had the potential to be good, but it fell short. Here are some things that irritated me:

- Canada has universal healthcare. No one is going to Canada for cutting edge surgery that they can’t get in the USA. Often times you will find Canadians coming to the USA because they can find specialists and be seen faster than in Canada.

- The old singer is Etta James, not Ella James.

- Nothing like a good fuck to get the old memory back. 🙄😒

- The story was poorly executed. There was no flow. It was choppy and jumped from one scene to another. Adding more depth to the plot would make it smoother.

- Under developed characters. Ugh. Spend some time on character development, would you!?! They felt so flat. They were not emotionally relatable.

Ok, so I’m a sucker for a arrange marriage / marriage of convenience plot. I really am. Usually...

There were some solid ideas going into this - I liked the fact that there the marriage was to achieve something more than just an inheritance.

But the baby thing got a bit weird. And the amnesia? Guys - haven’t you heard how easy it is to cure amnesia (tempted to spoil it, but I won’t compromise my dignity by actually typing it. Jeez Louise!)

I finished this because it was short and I wanted to get one more book on my goodreads challenge for the end of the year (130! woo!)

Have I given up on Ilsa Ames.... not quite yet...

Saw this was in the free catalogue on Audible, it was narrated by Troy Duran and was a marriage of convenience so I was sold, thought this would be right up my street
Unfortunately it was really really not good. Not even Troy could save it.

I feel like I need to warn you it has the amnesia trope.
Not only does it have the amnesia trope but all it took for the fmc to get her memory back was an orgasm from the mmc. Seriously.

The whole thing read like a first draft or something, I don’t recommend.

This book was a quick read but seemed like it lacked info in certain parts. The charcters are amazing though Tiago and Jane both just want to help people. June is a introvert who is all about helping people through her non profit and she's good at it. When Tiago propositions her I was amazed she said yes so quickly. I love that they get to help Layla and she recovers so well. Y'all there are ups and downs and some drama but overall super sweet.

Storyline had promise and I enjoy the 'surprise marriage' trope. I liked the characters initially but as the book went on it irritated me more and more.
I hate ro read about the shy virgin who turns into a sex goddess from the first 'romp in the hay'! Come on...really???? Also I felt the book lost it's way and just as it was getting hung up on the whole 'baby' thing, it decided to throw in a massive curveball. It was all pretty farfetched.

Look, it could have been fun. It had all the tropes (well, except for the baby one lmao). But somehow, this book managed to be kinda bland and kind of annoying at the same time.
The heroine is successful in her career, independent, accomplished – and yet, when it comes to anything remotely romantic or emotional, she suddenly morphs into a confused, naive mess. Make it make sense.
Writing style was fine. I got through it. But honestly? I could’ve skipped this one and not missed a single thing.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by Ilsa Ames. This was a good, quick, read. I really enjoyed it. June and Tiago are so hot together. I really loved seeing June come out of her shell. I also loved how Tiago was able to see beneath the surface. Events moved at a fast pace, but not unreasonably so. Overall, this was an enjoyable read.

Ugh

I had a really hard time reading this book. The guy needed to fulfill what was stipulated in order to receive money from Dad. Hey married and have a kid. But that wasn't the real reason why he needed money. A heart transplanting him Goddaughter. Seriously? That was the first 20% of the book. The rest of it was sex. No plot Nothing to read about. It got boring!
