To tell a good tale.

It’s a simple and valid answer when the question pops up, “Why do you write?”

At the end of the day, it is to tell a good tale.

Vince Milam has lived all over the world, traipsing through the Amazon, Congo, and Papua New Guinea—all the while demonstrating bourbon has medicinal qualities. Raised in Texas, he lives in the mountainous West where he proves—annually—that God doesn’t want us driving on snow. He relishes great reads, fine trout streams, family, old friends, and—especially—writing fast-paced thrillers that keep you up at night.

Excellent, No, Stupendous Series

The best Case Lee book yet. Author Milam expertly weaves this new tale, starting with a twist - Lee gets a partner. Action looms large, dialogue rings true and you won’t want this one to end. Stupendous indeed.

Spellbinding mystery thriller - another Vince Milam treasure!

Idaho author Vince Milam has lived and worked in over twenty-five countries around the globe, and is a certified Wellness Coach in addition to being a bestselling author. His highly popular Case Lee series continues now with Book 11 - THE RHINE RIVER JOB.

Milam‘s manner of conducting a suspense filled thriller is completely refreshing. His language grows more eloquent with each new book and his ability to retain memories of the early books of the series enhances this story – but this book is quite easily a stand alone novel, so well crafted has Vince made the plot. He submits the following summary: ‘She’s known as the Gypsy. And teams with Case Lee for a mysterious client. They uncover a crime family aligned with corrupt politicians and deadly shadowland spies. Par for the course – until those involved go too far. And discover there are lines with Case and friends you’d best not cross. Case and the Gypsy investigate a European crime syndicate when they expose criminal connections with US politicians and power players, while multiple espionage agencies maneuver for leverage. Are Case and the Gypsy being used as part of a larger plot, or obstacles to be removed? From Amsterdam to Germany to France and back to the States, the trail twists and turns until a secret is revealed that changes everything. And lights the fuse.’

The mystery opens in Amsterdam with ‘It started with a wavering trail and a mystifying partnership and life’s lessons galore. It ended with loss and joy and disillusioned righteousness. She moved like a cat, cautious, as dark running shoe sidestepped the night’s springtime rain puddles on the old brick-paved street. Her head movement performed slow sweeps of our environment. MIrela Dalca, my partner for this job. I strolled alongside her, also cautious, but with a semiautomatic pistol’s weighted surety in my jacket.’ One of the many aspects that make Vince such a successful novelist is his spectrum of characters he creates and also his deft painting of the many global locales in which he places his Case Lee. His scenes are so well crafted that they plead visualization in cinema! Vince Milam is now recognized as one of the major writers of suspense novels writing today. Polished to a fare-thee-well, this is another superb action thriller.

I guess somewhere along the line it had to happen...Case Lee got a request to investigate a huge company, but with the aid of a compulsory "partner."
A female. Beautiful and petite. And a real bad a&&. Deadly and feeling too often quite free using a .22 with deadly effect.
Mirela Dalca, also known as the Gypsy. And Case soon found him at odds with this woman apparently thinking she is in charge.
Pity. Because Amsterdam is but the start of a dangerous mission to deal with a drug and racketeering company quietly supported by politicians and goverment officials the world over. Which also means little official support and a dangerous call of conscience to act.
The Rhine River Job is easily the best Case Lee book in the series as yet with a lot of action and suspense.
Of course, also almost impossible to put down before reaching the end, however reluctantly then.
Enjoy.

I'm thoroughly enjoying Vince Milam's writing style. The "Case Lee" character, along with his "band of brothers in arms" find themselves in similar plots from book to book. And the story line is not new to the "thriller genre." What separates Milam's books is the manner in which he colors each of the characters, compelling the reader to identify with each persona. He makes you feel like you've just jumped in the middle of the plot and are ready to champion whatever cause is at play. I realize that at some point, "Case Lee" will have completed his final mission. I sincerely hope that Mr. Milam has another cast of characters ready to charge forward and provide me, along with many other readers, a continuum of literary entertainment.

Milam Delivers in Spades

Case Lee takes on an unknown partner for his latest contract, and is it ever different from his Delta team escapades. One thing I like about this story, apart from the pulse-accelerating action scenes, is the internal conversation Lee has before and after each development in the plot. These monologues search out motives, assess possibilities and risks while planning a number of strategies to handle future situations. A must-read to anyone who likes action stories with unimaginable dips and turns. And all-American heroes.

AnotherCracker from Vince Milam👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I always look forward with a high level of anticipation of news of another Case Lee book…..Vince never disappoints, this one it must be said was even more outstanding in plot, length and action across two continents.

The regular collection of characters up to their usual traits and strengths, coupled with a smattering of new characters some good some evil, all combined to make a hugely entertaining read, which finishes all to quickly…….now I wait the next instalment……thanks again Vince Milam….love your work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Case Lee Somehow Prevails!!

If you like the Case Lee series, don’t miss this one. Lots of action and do-Goode antics, plenty of mission impossible, and a nice dash of brothers - and a sister- in arms.

While these do stand alone, I think one is much better positioned for enjoyment by reading this series from the start. I now feel like I know all of the characters, the author’s character development is quite good.

Action, adventure, foreign locales, horrid bad guys, and did I say action?

Another Great Case Lee Adventure

Once again, Vince Milam's The Rhine River Job delivers an exciting Case Lee exploit. The action never ceases, but the whole tale is realistic from the beginning to the end. I especially like the endings of every Case Lee novel where Lee wraps things up and returns to the peace and quite of his boat, his mom, and his sister. The sister is indeed special. She seems to always, in her own way, bring out the good things in the world. This time it is her fascination with 'two lips'. I will never forger that.

read the series case lee

Start with the first book and read them all, seat of your pants action! Good vs. evil and wins! There are Delta Force men out there in real life doing things so we can be safe. Enjoy reading about some of their skills, and know that if these fictional characters were real most if us would give them a standing ovation for ridding us of evil that our laws and countries can not stop! Keep writing these Vince, they are wonderful stories.

Highly recommend these books by Vince Milam.

Another Winner

I just finished reading this latest installment. Pretty much stayed up all night. It didn't disappoint. I loved having all 4 characters back together again. The Gypsy was a welcome addition although at first I didn't think I would like her. The plot was so good and fits right in with the sex trafficking going on in our world right now, unfortunetly. Thank you Vince for another great addition to my digital library!

As Expected - Another great Case Lee installment!

New characters and places with great personalities, along with some involvement of recurring favorites. Entertaining throughout and hard to put down. Descriptions are just detailed enough to educate the reader without boring them, a difficult thing to get right. Makes me want to visit all these great places, except maybe Baltimore. Haha

Rhine River Job

Vince Milam scores again with the latest Case Lee thrilling serial. Just as good as the 10 episodes before. Ifyou have followed like me I'm sure you will agree. Read it.
It certainly doesn't hurt to read the other books and in order but I don't think that it's a necessity to have read the other books in order to enjoy and grasp and enjoy this one. I'm thinking that if you haven't read the other books in the series, you soon will!

Case Lee has not disappointed me yet.

I've read all of Vince Milam's 'Job' stories. Really good writing, some subtleties, a lot of very believable camaraderie and brotherhood.
Right is right, wrong is wrong.

Me? I read a lot, retired Air Force Special Ops pilot and former Marine Aviator with some time in Fed Law Enforcement. Milam's stories are always believable (some suspension of disbelief/reality expected and desired, right?) Always a blast to read.

Thanks, Vince!

Overwhelming!!

I loved that everyone was in this book. My heart is racing. More action than the Super Bowl! Story line involved in the horror of now-a-days' evil. Vince Milam is a wonderful writer. I've lived through a lot these last three days reading The Rhine River Job. Bravo for the good guys.

Another great read

I really enjoy the characters in this series. I respect that Case Lee is a black and white guy, stuck in a world of shades of gray because I can relate. I like how Milam keeps corruption in our (and all) goverment as a thread throughout the story. It's a good balance of reality with the impossible feats that Case and his friends pull off.

Another Winner

If you're a reader of the series you know how good they are. This one doesn't disappoint.

I did think for a moment we weren't going to see the entire crew in action, but arrive they did, and in fine style.

If you haven't read these yet and are wondering if they're any good, why yes, yes they are.

And now for something completely different…..

This one starts out and ends in a new way for Case Lee - it will grow on you but then it re-centers to the group efforts we all love - and - well it has an ending which goes beyond the survival of the fittest and might bring a smile or two - Enjoy!!!

A good read

Another winner in Case Lee series of adventures. There is a good mix of history mixed with the travel from country to country. I was especially pleased that the plot involved rescue of human trafficking victims, a subject that cannot be addressed enough until there is no more victims.

Case Lee triumphs again

Another action packed book by Vince Milan. Case Lee works with a partner who he knows nothing about and wonders if her agenda aligns with his or not, in short order he finds out the answer and goes his separate way but eventually he decides to help on a noble mission and the bad guys will pay.

Another 5 stars. Par for the course for a Vince Milam Case Lee book. Only one more left to read in the series. One slightly discordant note, again in this book: the misspelling of François. For those unaware, Francois would be pronounced Frankoiz. Slight, but still annoying. Hardly a reason to not read these wonderful stupendous exceptional satisfying well-written books.

Just another job

It starts out as just another job but our hero can't stop when injustice towards the innocent is going on. The bad guys are flaunting their stuff in his face and with Case that doesn't fly. Reinforcements are called in and the bullets fly. I just love it when the bad guys lose and lose big!

Vince has done it again. Great settings, spies, assassins, intrigue, unique wonderful characters and desperate escapes and battles. Warning, don't start chapter 34 unless you have the time to read the next 5 chapters. Very entertaining story well told.

Case ever the crusader!

Vince is perhaps the only writer today that can combine the stealth of James Bond the grit of Jack Reacher and the feelings of a brother and friend vanquish the enemies and make steadfast friends. Well well done! More Vince more and quickly!

So very exciting

What a good, exciting book.
Complete with what we are facing in the world today.
Corruption in so many areas of government.
I would feel so much more comfortable if I thought there really was
a group of warriors out there like Case and his friends !

Vince Milam and his crew have brought out another fine read. After reading several of his books I have come to expect violent action, a fast moving plot, good bad guys and better and great good guys. His female participants are always beautiful, tough and sexy. He suggests just enough to make them interesting, too. Vince scores another touchdown!

Case Lee Rescues the Impossible

Milan has built a great character in Case Lee, and he provides constant drama in this story, a non stop pace where Case and colleagues battle the worst of the worse international thugs & politicians.
