Vascular Technology: An Illustrated Review, Fourth Edition

Rate this book
The standard has been raised. Completely revised, updated, and expanded in 2009, the 4th edition of this popular book explains and illustrates what you need to know to pass the Vascular Technology exam topic by topic, in one volume, by leading technologists who themselves have taken, passed, and helped others prepare for and pass their RVT exams. Based on the registry's exam outline, it includes new illustrations, duplex and color flow images, Doppler waveforms, photo-documented physiologic exam techniques, angiograms, new self-assessment exercises, and glossaries. CME credits no longer available for this edition. Particularly useful in combination with Vascular Technology Review, Vascular Physics Review, and ScoreCards for Vascular Technology.

This book has and will always be phenomenal. I originally used the 3rd edition as a vascular student myself, and now use the newer edition while teaching vascular courses. One of the greatest strengths of this text is how well it organizes and presents complex vascular concepts in a way that feels structured, approachable, and digestible without sacrificing important clinical detail.

The illustrations, explanations, and review style formatting make it an excellent learning resource for both students and educators. I especially appreciate how the material keeps challenging topics bite sized and easier to retain while still building a strong foundational understanding of vascular technology. This has remained one of my favorite vascular resources throughout both my education and teaching career.
