A voracious reader, Kris loves many genres of fiction, but this writer's favorite books are romances that are edgy, sexy, with rich characters and unique challenges. Kris' influences include Anne Rice, JR Ward, Lexi Blake and Shayla Black.

I struggled a little bit with the rating for this book, but I guess I'm feeling generous today.

The storyline continues from the first book, with the immortals seeking to activate the powers of another bloodliner. The author sought to address one of the areas I thought was weaker in the first novel by providing greater insight into the thoughts and motivations of the lead female. I was left still wanting more, though. When the MC brought up emotional items from her past, my mental thought was 'well that sucks', while I craved a heart-wrenching moment. But... at least he tried.

I enjoyed the BDSM aspect a bit more, primarily as it was a tool used to strip away a bit of the MC's psyche. Unfortunately, I wasn't as invested in that exposure as I could have been. I also breathed a sigh of relief when the team moved beyond spanking - I was getting a bit bored with that.

One of the downsides of the greater level of insight into the characters was that this slowed the story down quite a bit, and got a tiny bit tedious (harping on the same theme). Not a major negative, but as I viewed the fast pace in the prior novel as a plus, it's worth mentioning here.

Also, the end... Was a bit much for me. A little to clinical. Maybe it's a core weakness of the book- sex as a purpose other than intimacy. It kind of takes the fun out of things....

I still want more from the author, and I haven't yet reached a moment where my chest pangs for the characters. That's why I read this type of book. That's what gets me invested. So.... I may try one more from Kris, or I may just save him for the 'I'm bored and I don't want to think' moments. Overall, I feel the same way I did as the first book - its a decent, light, somewhat erotic read, but nothing too gripping. Still, I'll probably cave if Brooke's story comes out. I want to know what happened.

In an epic battle of good and evil where the world faces destruction, only the Alliance made up of angel and jinn warriors can fight the demons bent on taking over the world. Tripling is how immortals continue their existence and gain strength. Made up of a human and two immortals, energy is exchanged through pleasure. Only recently, it was discovered that a bloodline of humans could permantently bind themselves to two immortals giving them an unstoppable power. Tracking down these bloodliners has been top priority for the Alliance in order to strengthen their warriors. Only one perfect Triad has been made, but with Eve they hoped to have another perfect Triad as soon as possible. It is decided that she'll have to triple with as many combinations of immortals until she releases her bloodliner power.

Kronos has been her protector and has shared his love with Eve, but she has yet to show any signs of releasing her powers. Nash is a jinn that rescued her from the demons wanting her power for themselves. Eve can't deny her feelings for these two men, but will it be enough to release her power.

I truly enjoyed this book. The plot was riveting with a clash of angels and demons. The characters were given depth which made losing yourself in the story a real pleasure. Then add some very well written and intensely erotic scenes and I was in heaven!
For all those out there looking for paranormal BDSM and a riveting plot, get this book. I plan on reading the rest of series now.

While I understand why it such a challenge to unlock Eve's bloodliner powers, it was tedious.

The constant threat of being raped by the "good guys" if Kronos and Nash were unable to unlock her powers was unnerving. David could have at least insisted she try other people or not let her retry Kronos and Nash, but he didn't have to threaten to force other guys on her. The looming threat of rape hovered over the entire book. There was no break from it, which I hated very much.

Plus, I just found it difficult to relate to Eve as a heroine. I couldn't get into her head.

The other thing that bothered me were the passages from Eric's flash drive were the same ones in the first book. There seems to be so many holes in the flashdrive that I didn't understand why we didn't get new entries even if they basically said the same thing. David is suppose to have 70 pages off the drive, and we get repeated paragraphs? Since this is kind of a short book, I found this annoying. I appreciate that the excerpts from Timu were new but still... I found this a bit lazy.

I still gave the book 2 stars, because there is still a lot of potential in this series. Kris Cook can do great characters with great sex. This book just fell short for me. I was really impressed with Perfection, but this book was a disappointment. I'm surprised no on else seems to have a problem with it.

This is a sizzling second installment of one of my favorite series, Eternally Three by Kris Cook !! Once again you will enter the world of Warrior Angels, Ancient Jinn and a hidden powerful bloodlines. Kronos has fallen under the spell of Bloodliner Eve but she has escaped from her Warrior Angel protector. Saved by Jinn commander Nash she is now under his command. This was a fantastic story with lots of roadblocks for Eve,Kronos and Nash to get through before they can find their happily ever after. The passion between the three is off the charts of sexy with the addition of BDSM !! The story once again draws you in till you can't put it down. There are new twists and turns in this wonderful world Kris has created. You will see old friends and possibly the heros and heroines for future books. This is a definite MUST READ !!!!
