Decent guide with plenty of historical background. The geographical zones of Madeira make sense and it's clear what the nicest locations of Madeira are. There's a bit in the back dedicated for hiking paths.

I’ve lost the plot with large, bulky travel books.
Equally, I never expected to be impressed with this little one - but I was. It’s absolutely terrific.
Has not only has all the basic information you want presented in a clear and succinct fashion but also points to a selection of highlights in all the important categories. Again, these are accompanied by a succinct and to the point description.
Plus there are extremely clear maps and this all on a lightweight small package that is easy to carry around.
Super pleased.

This is my 1st DK travel book - usually have lonely planet for holiday destinations like the Kyoto, Ukraine and Seoul ones I’ve got.

Book has a lot of key places on all parts of Madeira - gr8 selection of bars, restaurants, sporting activities etc. Cool they brought up CR7 a few times as well lol.

History and business sections were interesting.

Nice try. A top 10 list of many things. What makes the list? What classifies a place as a 5th or a 7th? Magic. At least tripadvisor is free with an adblocker.
