A very good historical account of one of the greatest ballplayers in the early 20th century. Wagner was a complete gentleman by all accounts and I think one of the most impressive decisions he made was to pull his baseball card photo from a tobacco product. He didn't want to encourage kids to smoke. I recall Glenn Davis of the Astros trying to stop a beer promotion that was using his name. Again to not encourage young people to consume alcohol. Anyway, I have 10 of these baseball greats books....we'll see how the other ballplayers fare!
