Some really cool modern poetry. With poems such as "Tree of Life" starting with the line 'What color is my silent soul?' this book is sure to be loved by many urban fantasy readers in the future. Cloke speaks with such elegant ideas such as 'Sleep dreams without me' in the poem "October." I will surely dip into this in the future. I love the cover art.

Every so often I pick up this book and open to a random page.
Every time, I am entranced by Cloke's spinning, delicate use of language.

I've been giving Kat and Brandon recaps of The Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices and all those other 2010s YA Of the Moment series, so of course I had to revisit the Elka Cloke the epigraph queen.
