Read this book a few years back, but picked it up again - felt as if I hadn't read it before - gained new insights. Great for strengthening your faith in God, and understanding that He is much MORE than you could ever imagine and loves us unconditionally. I'm quite sure that I'll be reading it again. Gloria Copeland writes with such simplicity and that's what makes you read it - as if she is standing before and talking to you personally - Chapter 8: Looking for a Receiver really ministered to me.
"Clearly, when God's kingdom comes on the scene, even natural, world systems begin to work in favor of the believer. If you'll honor and obey Him, you can live in the light of His goodness right in the midst of a dark world. You will begin to experience increase. In a world plagued by shortages and lack, you'll find He is able to "supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:19)." (Gloria Copeland, Blessed Beyond Measure, Page 125)
The author sheds light on the goodness of God in this book. God is a good God, and one of the first things He did when He created man (a human being) was bless. Bless, means He empowered human beings to prosper. He has empowered you to prosper, and as it is written in 3 John 1:2, God wishes above all that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.
The author shows examples of men and women of God in the Bible Whom He prospered, and blessed beyond measure. God is looking for a receiver of His goodness, to pass on the goodness. Let that receiver be you!
Awesome book! Great research and supporting Bible verses and great expansion on the definition of certain key words. This book contains all you need to know about God! Gloria Copeland is a superb teacher.
This book was perfect for me. I can't imagine reading another book at the beginning of the year. It taught me about the goodness of God. God's blessings for me and how to position myself for it. It's a must read for every Christian.
awesome. I know who I am in Christ, but this kind of book really firms up the foundation of my relationship with God. Doubt and selfishness is always looming, and I need reminders of His unfailing love and plan for me.
God is good God and wants to bless us. This books shares that fact and explains how to receive Gods Blessings in our lives. This book opens your eyes to see that God wants great things for us! Very good book!
God really spoke to me in and through this book. Very simple to read and filled with reminders of His promises for our lives. if not for the KJV used for most scripture references, I would have given it 4 stars.
I love the manner in which Gloria teaches and preaches. She's fabulous! She isn't highflautin and pious. She's how I imagine listening to Jesus would have been like 2000 years ago. Jesus with bling. ;)
