After a strange accident, Georgia awakens from a coma to a sea of faces she has no memory of, in a place she doesn't remember. Returning to a home she doesn't recognize, Georgia struggles to mend the strained relationship between herself and her family, and rediscover a life she can't recall ever having. Through life-changing events and a mental struggle that challenges the very core of their family, Georgia realizes that her accident is linked to something in her past. But can she put the pieces together and learn the truth?
Georgia Charles Dixon is no stranger to adversity and once again she has to call upon her inner strength and determination to overcome the new challenge she is facing.
June V. Bourgo's, Missing Thread, is a great read and is a satisfying end to the Georgia Series trilogy.
I'll admit, I saw the first line of the synopsis: "On a trip to Houston, Charles Dixon disappears, taking Sean on a journey to Texas in search of his wife." and took this for a crime novel. And crime stories are, of course, my passion. Instead, Missing Thread is the third part in the Georgia series. It is a story of faith, love and the challenges on a family when a near-death accident leaves Georgia with amnesia and her specialists cannot predict if the missing thread in her brain can regrow, returning most, if not all, of her memories. There are crime elements to the story, along with spiritual ones, which gives it a unique style. Missing Thread can be read as a standalone, as plenty of backstory is supplied by the author, but readers would get more from the complete story in its three parts. A few editorial errors did not detract from this unique but enjoyable read for me.
June V. Bourgo has written such an interesting series and this, book 3 rounds it out perfectly. Georgia and Sean went to hell and back in this series and it's so lovely to know how it turns out
Book 3 takes Georgia's journey in a different direction. Georgia, Sean, and their family must deal with the after effects of a devastating accident. An accident propels Georgia into a battle that not only threatens her survival, but also stretches the very fiber that holds her family together. It is a great read and is a satisfying end to the Georgia Series trilogy. Full novel, not cliffhanger and HEA.
This is the first book I have read in the Georgia series. Although the books are linked through the main character, they are also stand alone reads. Although the basic premis of the story has been written about many times, the author adds a few genres together to write this compelling read that begins with a strange incident that leaves Georgia lost and with her memory oit of line. What would you do if you woke theat way? The author tells a great story on that idea.
Loved this last book in the trilogy. Definitely worth reading. The author did such a wonderful job with the characters. All of them were so amazing. The courage and fortitude that Georgia has shown throughout the books was inspiring. Great job
The three books in this series are each filled with adventures enough to keep the reader's attention and wanting more. The final chapter (or is it?) ends with a surprising twist but with answers to one's questions. And with it the ability to close the cover with total satisfaction.
