I had been looking forward to reading this for a while due to its very alluring title, but I was sad to find out that it was an original take on the Eastern zodiac (with choice of cat instead of rabbit). It is an interesting work, especially if one would like to expand on their knowledge of Western and Eastern astrology, or does not want to budge too much from it but wants to give it some spice. For me, it didn't give me what I was looking for, but I'm sure it could for others.
interesting combination of eastern and western astrology incorporating goddess archetypes. no surprise that i fall under the dark goddess category from both perspectives.
Normally, I don't find Eastern astrology to be very accurate for me. To my surprise, the description in this book was pretty much spot-on. I now have more interest in Eastern astrology. You can tell the author knows and loves her subject, and it's contagious.
That being said, this book has the same problem as many other astrology-related books: once you've read the description, there's not much else to do with the book. There are a couple of meditations/spells to try, but if I recall correctly, there were only 2 short ones per sign. I would like to see more about dealing with the energies of your sign in everyday life so that the book isn't just a collection of great descriptions.
