I won this book through goodreads first-reads. This book really does it all! The "Basics" chapters on brain muscle and emotional brain and exercise, are intelligent, clear, and concise. Though I recommend reading all of the chapters, for those who want to get to the point and get to the workout, the layout and section titles make it easy to go back and reference a particular topic later on if you need to. The chapter on Smart Food Choices for a Better Brain is full of information on healthy, nutritious eating, including recipes, which makes this book a complete package.

Whew, I am glad I'm a nurse. The foreword is a little over the top for light reading. Then the author does a good job of explaining the brain, but there again while the information is great, it is more than I want for an exercise book. This is one to own if you intend to follow the program because it would be difficult to try and remember all positions and levels. I did notice a good change with the exercises and I am glad I read it.

Didn't get to keep this book long enough (new books go out for just 7 days at our library)...might be worth looking for videos or an app...don't love workout BOOKS....

interesting concepts to blend brain work and exercise; he advises that if you can walk you are co-ordinated; I had always considered myself not co-ordinated, but I can walk and talk at same time, hurray
