Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Wilfried Loth is a German historian and political scientist. He specialised in the German Question and the European unification process. Loth is a member of the European Union Liaison Committee of Historians. Since 1986 he teaches recent and modern history at the Universität Duisburg Essen (UDE).
