Mahamudra-The Ocean of True Meaning contains the essence of the Buddhist path of liberation that the Buddha Shakyamuni taught in the 5th century before Common Era. This text was written by the 9th Karmapa Wangchug Dorje who lived in the 16th century. Up to the present day this text is used by teachers and students of the Karma Kagyü transmission lineage for guidance and inspiration in meditation.
A good translation of a profound text. There is no commentary. Strictly a translation. Great manual for a student who has been on the path for some time and received many instructions, specifically in Mahāmudrā context. For a beginner it would be advisable to consult with a teacher before undertaking.
