Came across this book today at the library and I really must say that its a great book that I am really enjoying. It's a combination of interesting facts with some great tips and I love how its geared for people in NYC. Highly recommend reading this one if you live in an urban area and are interested in the environment.

B This book doesn't necessarily just apply to NYC, but to eco-friendly living anywhere (though much of it is very specific to NYC, like the list of outdoorsy activities they give--including running NYRR races and surfing in the Rockaway! :) ). Some great advice, but I wish they gave MORE--more information on how to do more. Still, a good Green Guide.

I was so excited to win this book as a raffle prize at the New York Loves Mountains benefit concert. It's full of good information for making environmentally sound choices in NYC. (Besides, it's always a thrill to win a raffle.)

I like thinking about how this might relate to a seventh grade expedition on sustainability...
