When Sovereign Solomon Nemamiah lay dying on a beach under an overturned vehicle with his fiancée helplessly sobbing next to him, he made a vow to himself that he would refuse to stay in some arbitrary afterlife. He silently promised to return and finish what he started with The Order of the Black Swan and the love of his life. When the new Sovereign of Jefferson Unit begins saying and doing things that remind people of Sol, it raises suspicion in the minds of people who were closest to him. Dr. Mercy Renaux is a new hire archeologist seeking to change her life and find something to blot out the guy she can't forget. Sir Rafael Nightsong, bad boy member of the infamous Z Team, is the guy she can't forget. When his team is assigned to escort the recent recruit to Bulgaria on a mission to contain irrefutable evidence that vampire exist, they both wish they worked for somebody else. Recommended for 17+. LIGHTNING ROOM LITERARY REVIEWS - "Solomon’s Sieve is a perfectly told love story. This book is a big thumping heart wrapped in a song. With each contraction, intake of breath, you can feel the anticipation, the wonder, the whimsy start to catch fire. With each release, each exhalation, there is a flood of joy, sorrow and hope. And throughout it all is the lyrical mastery that Victoria Danann weaves throughout each of her books. I both started and ended this book with sobbing. Joyful, sorrowful, uncontrolled sobbing." VAMPIRE ROMANCE BOOKS. com "Danann knocks another out of the park with Solomon’s Sieve. Her writing is amazing! She is so good at her craft that her writing appears effortless. I am most impressed with the way the story flows. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the whole adventure, and the novel is an easy and enjoyable read. The story is exciting, suspenseful, passionate, and sexy with plenty of comic relief to give the reader a breather. " . FANTASY & ROMANCE BOOK REVIEWS "...it was brilliant to see just how Victoria Danann again easily has picked up the reins of immersing herself into this fascinating world with all of it’s amazing, interesting sometimes quirky, but all familiar characters that in a strange way we feel like long lost friends." I so loved this book. It starts out with Speed dating. Raif Nightsong Lost a bet to Torn in Book 5. Speed dating quickly escalates into a word battle disaster. Leaving both parties a little lost & bewildered. We get to spend a little more time with Sol. His last few weeks with us, then we find him in the afterlife, where a fluffy white sheep with a black face just annoys the heck out of him. LOL He finds a way to change his Fate as only Sol can. Then we are introduced the the New Sovereign of JU, Rev Farthing. A Black Swan Knight From the Rio Unit. He has taken a shine to Farnsworth. There is a new strain to the Vampire Virus that takes minutes to go into affect. All retired Knights are called back into service & Some of the trainees are activated early to battle this new virus. We are introduced to a new young lady Dr. Mercedes Renaux, an Archaeologist the Order hires for research on some Vampire Skeletons they found in Bulgaria. The Z Team is assigned to protect her. Raif, Torn,Gun & New Z Team member Glen. There are some wonderful romantic scenes in this book. They make you catch your breath & sigh out loud. There are some places that make you sob. Happy & Sad. There are of course adventure to be had. Victoria takes you for a ride like no other! I have read it 2 times already. I know it will be another one that I will keep reading. It will become an old friend just like all of her other books. As always we are given Epic moments. This book made me Laugh out Loud. I have a favorite quote in this book... " You make me feel to alive to die" ****Sigh***** I hope you are intrigued. You all just have to get this book. As always a Forever fan.... Pam James
If I could give this book more than 5 stars i would! Solomon's Sieve was everything i have come to expect and love from Victoria Danann! From Sol's death to picking a new soveriegn, from speed dating to earthquakes in Bulgaria, it was a thrill ride. Ms. Danann can capture the emotions running so deep you are in the book with the characters, from the chill of the mountain to the warmth of a natural hot spring, you are there. From love so lost to love so new, from words of anger to deep soul searching. If I could imagine that there are people that have read this series up to this point and still was not completely captivated by it you would definately be convinced now.
Love. I wax poetic about it often. Especially in my reviews. It’s one of my favorite topics. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I’ve plumbed deep the thesaurus for all of the variety of ways to discuss love and everything that goes with it. It’s a concept with which I am thoroughly enthralled. And one of my favorite contexts within which to talk about love in a perfectly told love story.
Solomon Nememiah is one of my all-time favorite characters. I’ve had a huge crush on this man for a long, long time. Since My Familiar Stranger in fact. His dry wit, absolute control and ability to see straight to a person’s soul has had me wrapped around his little finger for 6 books now. This book cemented him into my heart forever. This man gives definition to the idea of an alpha male. He is strong, he goes after what he wants, he’s kind, he’s tender, he’s absolutely unmoving in his devotion and integrity. And we get to see so much more of him throughout this book. We get to see him learning from his mistakes, realigning his priorities while still keeping his strongest character traits in tact at his core.
Raif Nightsong is an enigma. An enigma I thoroughly enjoyed figuring out as the story progressed. An enigma who met his match in Mercy Rennoux, who is a bit of an enigma in and of herself. A gorgeous, brilliant enigma fully equipped to go toe to toe with Raif. And that is a show no one wants to miss. These two come at each other with claws fully extended only to end up wrapped in a lover’s embrace. And their journey to get there is harrowing and just flat fun to watch.
Black Swan has always had a feeling of family about it. Especially within B Team. But this book expands that feeling to the entire organization. Through the failing of the vampire virus cure, the entire organization has to come together to survive and continue to keep the human race safe. Watching the stages of that happening was akin to watching someone grieve – shock, anger, disbelief, bargaining, acceptance. No one wants to recall the retired Knights. No one wants to put kids in the field before they’re ready. No one wants to fight a newly mutated virus that is bigger and badder than before. But they do. They figure it out and they get back to work. Because that is what Knights do. They band even tighter to protect those who are still learning and reconfigure to ensure only strength is issued forth into the streets of war.
Solomon’s Sieve is a perfectly told love story.
Joyful, sorrowful, uncontrolled sobbing. Because of tremendous loss, growth, family and love. All of which happens in overwhelming quantities in this extraordinary book.
Victoria Danann continues to display her mastery and in fact furthers it several more steps. Integrating everything she does so very well into one book is a display of such tremendous perfection that I’m quickly running out of new ways to tell you about it. Suffice it to say, she’s brilliant and I think she’s just getting started.
I'll admit to being a little sad about the ending of Book 6, A Tale of Two Kingdoms, though I had every confidence that Victoria Danann would make it up to me in Book 7...and she TOTALLY DID!!! No one enjoys the death of a favorite character, but the way that Victoria brings back Sol is truly masterful. All of our favorite characters are back in full force in this latest installment of the Knights of Black Swan. And the new characters are introduced in a truly unique way! Who knew that speed dating could be so much fun??!! There was action, adventure, romance and many, many laughs:) As always when reading Victoria Danann, I had a wonderful time reading this book and cannot wait for the next installment!
Familiar characters, new characters, new viewpoints on past situations, new romances, old romances, growing and changing relationships, growing and changing characters. All wrapped up in one book! A definite good read.
I knew that Victoria Danann could do it again! This 7th book in the Knights of the Black Swan's is one of the best so far (I really can't compare it to the other cause they are all so good)Anyway to get to visit with my old friends, Elor, Ram, Stom, Litha, Kay and Glen was awesome and what can I say about Glen he brings awesomeness to any situations. The notorious Z team, Torn, Gunn and Raif well they speak for themselves. But I think Raif met his match this time with the Dr Mercedes Renaux a feisty redhead that gives him hell! Who also turns out to have a very close connection to another employee at Jefferson Unit. Sol has passed and nobody misses him more than the love of his life Farnsworth as she throws herself into her work a new Sovereign come into Jefferson Unit, Rev Farthing, and he seemed to good to be true. To many simalarities to a person they all knew and loved. To see the impact that Rev and Mercy have on the Jefferson Unit is awesome to say the least. Victoria Danann has done it again and blown it outta the water with this one. I can only say I hate to wait for the next book in the lives of my friends The Knights of the Black Swans. And to be honest you should start with the first book in series My Familiar Stranger with is still free ...then join me and the Knights for some good times! I wish I could give this more stars like maybe 10!
Victoria Danann has once again created a masterful tale with Solomon’s Sieve . . . Book 7 in the Knights of Black Swan Series. All of our old favorites are included as well as more in depth characterization of Sol, Farnsworth and bad boys of Black Swan, Z Team.
While Sol and Farnsworth have been with us throughout the series, it is in this book that we really get to know them as people, and watch their love story develop. What develops between these characters is so much more than a love story.
We also get to know the members of Z Team. This foursome brings a whole new dimension to the Knights of Black Swan. One that I truly hope Victoria keeps exploring as the series continues. It is fun to watch bad boy Raif meet his match with a feisty archaeologist, as well as get to know sexy, red headed elf, Torn.
My new favorite in the series! As unbelievable as it sounds, these tales really do just keep getting better and better with every new release.
This is such a GREAT series!! The characters are so vivid and you can't help but love them... or love to hate them!! We are back with B-team and we see some Z- team too. Drama, romance, humor - it's all here!!!!
I am blown away AGAIN!! I wish I could give 10 stars!!!
I have read this book twice. The first time I read so fast, trying to move from one wonderful moment to the next. This is a true love story of epic proportions. Really, it is multiple love stories. After all, how many of us get a second chance at true love? Or meet your soul mate? There is joy, sadness, grief. And disappointment, when the marvelous Vampire Cure is a failure. And the new strain is so much worse.p Jefferson Unit must once again gear up to do what they do best, kill vampire! The retired knights are returned to active duty. The young men who are training will have less time than usual. Not everyone is happy about it but like any Family, they pull together and get down to business. Z Team is featured and we learn more about them, especially one Raphael Nightsong. After a disastrous speed dating episode he finds that he can't help thinking about the girl. But he only knows her first name. Then a new female scientist at Jefferson Unit has to travel to Bulgaria and Z Team is traveling with her for her protection. In the meantime the JU needs a new Sovereign, with the death of Sol and Rev Farthing is just the ticket. Plus he has eyes for Farnsworth. I must say that I have been a fan of the Black Swan Series since the first-time I read My Familiar Stranger. Since then I have waited anxiously for each new book. Every single time I am blown away with the way Danann writes. She is magic. Her characters are layered, interesting and so very real you can't help but feel a part of their lives. When they are sad, or mad, in love, worried, sexy or fighting for their lives, I am feeling those emotions right along with them. I said in the beginning that I have read this book twice. Actually, I have read All of the series at least twice because I love these people and I love the adventure, excitement, love and the feeling of family. Plus, there is always something new. Every new book is better than the last! I cannot wait for the next Black Swan Adventure. Please, please read this series!!! If you don't, you will miss out on more than just a wonderful story, you will miss out on getting to know very special men and women and you will miss the chance to share in an awesome experience that is Victoria Danann's Black Swan Knights ! Nothing else compares. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Love it! I am so very hooked on this series. There is so much love and emotion throughout this whole series but in this book, there is a whole lot more. This is book 7 in the series and it just keeps getting more addicting with every book that this author writes. This book helped me see the Z Team in a completely new light and I love it. You get to see Raif, Torn, and Gun in a completely new light and get to know a bit more about them. My heart goes out to Glen and Farnsworth for their heartache of loss. I laughed, smiled, cried, cringed, and got mad throughout this whole book. There are loves, surprises, and mysteries with every page turned, who could ask for more. I have to admit Victoria Danann has struck again and captured my heart with the Knights of Black Swan men, women, and all the children. I will forever be a fan on the Knights of Black Swan!
Ms. Danann has done it again. The book is all we've come to expect from her...and so much more. This is a book about second chances; the chance to reclaim what was feared lost as well as the chance to find new beginnings. Love lost...and love found. Old sorrows turned to joy. New love blooming from dislike and disdain. Laughter and tears. The characters we've come to love and think of as family as well as new ones who you'll embrace.
I loved this book, it was an amazing read that once I started I could not put down, no matter what.
This is a must read. It has an amazing story that will grab you the moment you start reading and characters that no matter wht you will fall in love with.
I cannot wait to read more by this amazing author in the future. You will not be disappointed.
Victoria proves yet again what a great series this is. More adventure, romance, and banter. The excitement to turn the next page combined with the dread that it will end. Halfway through and I couldn’t wait for the next book. Her characters are quick to draw you in and keep you emotionally invested. Keep them coming Victoria, we are ready for more Black Swan!
"Great Paddy", Ram says this several times and it explains this book in two words. Great Paddy! Victoria Danann has does it again! The journey that Victoria Danann started with the book My Familiar Stranger continues in Solomon's Sieve. I have grown to love all of the main characters and the new ones as well. When a new character is added I can't wait to see how she incorporates the new with the old. She writes with such ease and grace it is alway a pleasure to read one of her books. Once again a "love story" is the main topic in Solomon's Sieve. But this time there are two couples that fall in love with a few twist and turns. Being a mature woman I loved the relationship that continues to grow between Nememiah(?) and Farnsworth. I look forward to seeing what happens with them as this wonderful story continues. The part of this book that made me bawl, not cry or shed a few tears was when Farsworth met her daughter for the first time. This part of the book and the hug she gives her daughter opened a fissure in my heart I thought I had sealed off. We learn more about Z Team and B Team is back in action. (Yahoo) I love the interaction with both of the Teams even though the are like night and day. Glen is trying to fit in with his new team and I love how well and fast he thinks on his feet. I think he will do just fine but who knows what Rosie is going to say when she comes out of hiding. Elora is truly a mother hen that worries about her chicks and it is wonderful to see this side of her. I was to caught up in the story line while reading that I came to the end of the book before I knew it. This book is not a stand alone book. You will want to read the first 6 before reading Solomon's Sieve. That many seem like a lot but it will be well worth the read. You Will Love All Of Them.
Victoria Danann's 7th book in the Knights of Black Swan series, "Solomon's Sieve", is one of enlightenment, discovery, new beginnings and a continuation from her previous books all wrapped up in one delightful read.
Even death for Sovereign Solomon Nememiah wouldn't deter this mortal mischief maker from completing unfinished business one way or another. Who knew that sheep and a toga could bring such a reaction! "Nobody dies without regrets."
Ms. Danann has merged our favorite "retired" Knights (B Team) with some "knights-in-training" to once again fill Jefferson Unit in a renewed effort to battle the resurgence of the growing vampire population... "The plural of vampire is vampire."
When Z Team is sent to protect Dr. Mercedes Renaux on Black Swan business in Bulgaria, Mercy and Raif are thrown together in a life or death situation deep within a mountain where more truths are filtered through the "sieve" and surface... “I think maybe when people are supposed to be together, Fate finds a way.”
As a reader, when a book evokes tears, giggles, laughter, fist-pumps, and emotionally invests me with its characters, the author has done their job as a writer! "Tis Paddy's own truth."
I was so excited to get the seventh book in this series! I liked the character Sol, and cried when he ..... ..! Well,....., but you gotta read it to find out what happens, and oh what a great story! I loved hearing from B- Team, as always, and I got to get to know the Z-Team better! Gotta say I'm really liking these guys! Victoria Danann gives you everything you enjoy in this series, love, adventure, drama, suspense, and moments that make you laugh or cry out loud! Wonderful book, fabulous series! I highly recommend this book!!
I have completely loved everything that Victoria Danann has written to this point, and I was excited about this book, but never did I expect it to be better than all the others, I did not think it was possible. Solomon’s Sieve made me cry, then laugh, cry some more, laugh a bunch and cry again. I have never had so many different emotions going on at the same time in the same book. This story is about loss and strength, perseverance and love, parenting and marriage. There are so many different spectrum's that you cross throughout this book, and all of them leave you wanting more. All of the main characters are here, and there is even a couple more to fall in love with. The Vampire virus has mutated, and the Order has called back all of their retired Knights because of the severity of the problem, and there is also the need to bring Knights in that are younger than any that have ever been inducted before. We see the heartache this brings to the married families, the closeness it brings to the team mates, and shows us more than in any other book in this series so far, just how much this group has become a family, and how they need and depend on each other.
A new peril threatens the Knights and all of humanity.
As with all of the Knights of the Black Swan books, Solomon's Sieve was a great ride and over too quickly!! This series should be read in order, and you will be missing out if you don’t. Solomon's Sieve picks up the story after Sol Nehemiah’s death at the end of A Tale of Two Kingdoms and reverses for a time to tell the back story of the romance between Sol and Susan Farnsworth.
A new Jefferson Unit Sovereign grabs the reigns.
Both Sol and Susan have brilliant intellect, yet are very reserved and highly value propriety. For some reason, even though the Jefferson Unit is located in New Jersey, I always “hear” Farnsworth speaking with a very proper British accent! No spoilers, so you will need to read the story to find out how things work out.
The revered B Team is recalled from retirement.
The other developing romance in the story is that between Rafael Nightsong, a member of the infamous Z Team, and Dr. Mercy Reneux, an expert in archeology and anthropology employed by the Order to investigate the newly discovered graves thought to be those of vampires destroyed in Bulgaria centuries earlier. Z Team is assigned to protect Dr. Reneux throughout the mission in Bulgaria, and the rest is history…
The current mission depends on...Z Team?!
An interesting new character that we will likely see in a sequel (I hope) is Genevieve Bonheur, Farnsworth’s new assistant brought in to assist with the expansion of Jefferson Unit due to the failure of the vampire-cure vaccine and mutation of stronger, faster acting vampire virus that makes fighting the bloodsuckers even more perilous.
Victoria Danann has done it again with book seven. She is a master storyteller creating complex and compelling characters. Even when they are infuriating, one can’t help loving them and hoping they will succeed.
At the start of this tale, most of the characters are suffering from various states of shock from recent events. The death of the Solomon, the Sovereign of Jefferson Unit, has left its scars on everyone. Farnsworth has to face life without her one true love while wrestling with the guilt that she might have been responsible for his death. Sol himself is trying to deal with an unbearably insipid afterlife. Glen has to handle the unwanted job of temporary Sovereign while wondering if he has destroyed his relationship with the woman he loves. Despite their protests, B-Company is called back to active duty to deal with an escalating crisis. None of them are handling this new call to danger very well. Then there are Mercy and Raif. Both are wounded from their disastrous meeting at speed dating night.
There is no actual villain in this piece. The vampire threat is present, but the characters main challenges are caused by their own personalities, their doubts, their fears, and nature itself. This is a book about second chances. What choices do you make? Do you open yourself up risking pain or do you hide away becoming numb? As the sieve in the title suggests, it is about separating what is truly important and needed from what is not.
Solomon’s Sieve will captivate and entertain you. The series should be read in order – My Familiar Stranger, The Witch’s Dream, A Summoner’s Tale, Moonlight, Gathering Storm, A Tale of Two Kingdoms, and Solomon’s Sieve. You will not be sorry. This is a wonderful series. The characters will become friends and you will look forward to each new book.
Yet again, Victoria has outdone herself! I loved the back story that made Solomon seem much more human and real than he had in the past books (hence the name)! I laughed, I cried, all in all, a great emotional book to continue an awesome series that she has written.
Victoria Danann does it again and takes us on an even better adventure. Not only do we get to hang out with our favourite characters, we get to meet new ones, plus we really get to know Z Team much better. The most important aspect in this story is about Sol. We learn a lot more about him & his relationship with Susan Farnsworth. We also find out that he has no intention of staying in the afterlife, and how he causes so much trouble that he gets “sent back” to Jefferson Unit. The story that evolves is such a joy to read. You get so draw in that you share every character's emotions. I think this may be the best in the series so far, as Victoria has written this in a slightly different style, which comes across much stronger. I loved it & would highly recommend it.
Just finished Solomon's Sieve. Wow! Wow! And wow! I cannot even halfway tell you now much I enjoyed this book! The characters are so appealing and between the plots and humor and relationships, I find myself thoroughly entertained. Hope we won't have too long to wait for our next visit with the Black Swan family.
Loved It!! Great book.Ended to soon. Love the characters ,love the story, romance, interaction among the characters, everything. Just a really great book. Can't wait foe the next one and the new series.
Wow, I just love it!!! Book 7 in the Knights of Black Swan Series!!! I love this series and this book was AMAZING!!!!!!
I enjoy so much that I know I will read it again, it was beautiful, and love both love stories, yes two!!!! it was a beautiful journey and love the adventure, really I really enjoy his book and each time Victoria Danann amaze me!!!!! just WOW!!!!
Again you must read the entire series and this book you will not disappointed, and the character are amazing and I really love them all!!!!!
Congrats Victoria you did it again!!! amazing, well written and keep me captivated me the entire book!!!!!
I loved it. What a great addition to the series. I love all the books in this series. I seem to lose myself for ahwile when im reading these books and cant wait to read another addition. I hope this series never ends. Thanks for writing such a fabulous book Victoria.
When I heard about Solomon's Sieve coming out in the Black Swan Series it made my year! When I got my hands on my copy I eagerly dived straight into it and was greeted with a familiarity that I had not realised you could miss so much from a book series. The vision of the world where the Order of The Black Swan lives and the likes of the adoring Animal House and rough housing Z Team were out nightly riding the world of vampires. A place where Lady Elora Laiken fell into in Book 1 and changed everything as that dimension and everyone within it, knew it.
We start roughly just before where the last book ended with the death of the Sovereign of Jefferson Unit - Solomon Nemamiah and go back in time to what lead up to his untimely dimise. What happens next is a shock to say the least but I won't talk about that because I do not want to give anything away, reading it first hand yourself will give you so much more pleasure, trust me. Sol's fiancée Susan Farnsworth was left devastated by his death and had worked hard at trying to muddle through her life so far. Taking one day at a time and beginning to look to the future, Susan is stunned when the new Sovereign Rev Farthing who is 13 years her junior, begins flirting with her she is stunned. A wonderful plot of love, honour and forever truly means whirls and twists it's way within the book around another important plot line.
Dr. Mercy Renaux, we meet right at the beginning of the book, where she encounters the hot, impulsive, rough and ready Sir Rafael Nightsong. Unfortunately their personalities clash in a war of words and tempers leaving them both annoyed but imprinted upon each other that they find it almost impossible to get each other out of their heads. Neither thought they would see each other again but as luck would have it fate steps into play and Mercy is hired by The Order. Unbeknowns to them both Raif's latest order are to protect the newest and most important new member of The Order along with the rest of Z Team. The though of being pulled off patrol to end up "baby sitting" someone doesn't sit well with the team, that is until Mercy steps onto the plane and the games changes instantly. Raif feels like time has stopped but is frozen to the spot in the shock of seeing her there and that he is her new mission that he simply misses his chance to apologise for his horrendous behaviour towards her the day they met. Torn spotting Raif's reaction to Mercy and the fact that he is a ladies man has him instantly flirting with her mixing things up to a boiling cauldron that turns to a triangle of cat and mouse. Never have two people wished to be somewhere else than where they currently are!
I personally feel that this long awaited addition to the Black Swan Series and it was brilliant to see just how Victoria Danann again easily has picked up the reigns of immersing herself into this fascinating world with all of it's amazing, interesting sometimes quirky, but all familiar characters that in a strange way we feel like long lost friends. With new Characters in play and some old characters developed so we can see further into the layers of just what makes them who they are we are delighted with the addition of new friends to the fold who have some possibly amazing things to accomplish and a large part of the future of not only the entire Order but the World and Vampire in their hands.
It did have a slightly different feel to the others though, personally a feeling of something missing, although I am really not sure what it is. The ending of the book did feel a little rushed and could have been expanded upon greatly adding several layers to the whole experience, the love story (I am not saying who with! As I am NOT giving it away!) did overpower one of the main plot lines which could have seem them both finding something very exciting deeper into the cave they would not have found without the cave collapse whilst find their way out, but some information has been gleaned which I am more than sure we will see what becomes of it within the 8th book!
I just found out from Victoria Danannthat this is NOT going to be the last book in the series with the 8th being published in December (Sign Me Up!!) and at least nine in total in the Knights of Black Swan Series - Brilliant!! I really could not be happier at this news or excited as this series is one of my favourites!
As per usual, Victoria Danann has done it again! I've read all seven books in this series. My first love is paranormal romance. No one does PNR better than Victoria Danann. In this book, we get to know Z Team more intimately. The characters are well developed. The story as usual is epic. I experienced a myriad of emotions. This is exactly what I look for in a great read ... the experience! Hands down I will be referring my friends to read this book and this entire series! This author one-clicks Victoria Danann without thought!!! Kudos Victoria! You've struck gold.
Fantastic as always! I am never a fan of the death of a character, but Victoria Danann uses it in a way that actually becomes positive in the book. Huge plus!
I am so glad that we get to see so many of the characters that we have become fond of and what is happening in their lives. You begin to feel so attached to them after book 1 (My Familiar Stranger)that it feels like you are hearing from your friends!
Another hit in the lineup of The Order of the Black Swan series! I can always count on being swept into a world of drama and laughs. There was something different about this book. It didn’t just feel like the next book in the series but more like the beginnings of a completely new direction for the old series.
Please don’t misunderstand me. There was nothing wrong with the old series. The first six books were some of the Best reading experiences in my life. The kind of series I told every friend that even marginally liked to read they had to try….here comes the “But”…..I came away from book six with twinges of sadness. Jefferson Unit was a ghost town, B Team members had all retired, and Sol was Dead! Yeah, things were pretty bleak.
Well start lighting the fireworks people, cause they’re getting the band back together! And by the “band” I mean B Team. Sol refuses to stay dead. Z Team look like they’re ready to stop being screw-ups, (not completely, thank goodness). Jefferson Unit is going to be back in business, bigger and better than ever before. I am one extremely happy woman! Ms. Danann also provided plenty of relationship intrigue to whip my emotions into a frenzy spanning the range from sorrow to hilarity.
Solomon’s Sieve left me hungry for the next book in the series. The future may be looking dark for The Order, with the more deadly vampire virus, but I’m positively giddy at the thought of all the ensuing mayhem to come. Oh, and let’s not forget the sexual antics members of The Order are so creative with.
I can easily RECOMMEND the book to anyone 18 and older.
