I am glad I read it. However, it is a quick read not a great work of literature. If you love the 1972 Dolphins and a fan of Mercury. read it , if not you may save you efforts for another author. I needed to read this book to understand the real story behind the drug bust. In summary his ego and a and a rat who turned him in ruined him .

In some ways this is a typical local sports biography, and in some ways it’s much more, as Mercury Morris is raw and personal about his shortcomings and time in prison. Not an unusual story of someone who eventually found the straight path, but an honest one, and interesting to those who knew Morris as a football player.
