I have been working in Photoshop and manipulating images for over 8 years so this review is not from a newbie perspective.
I bought the book mainly because it was dirt cheap and I can't stand to pass up a good deal :P
The book is very simple, and contains easy-to-understand instructions for even the newbiest Photoshoper. It covers many of the "classic", as the name suggests, photoshop effects. It will also give any beginner a good understanding of how photoshop works, the different short-cuts, how to re-color or de-color an image, resizing, manipulating, creating professional styles and all the good stuff.
I would recommend this book to anybody who has PS CS and wants to understand how to use it. You will learn alot and in no time you will be able to impress your friends with your Photoshop abilities :)
