This was my favorite book as a child, but re-reading it at age 24 has me quite confused as to why I obsessively read it throughout elementary school.

I read the first two books in this series back when I was in probably mid elementary school. It's been a LONG TIME. Yet somehow no one can forget Peewee and Lexi. I picked this book off the shelf at the "library" that the hotel I'm staying at offers - a single bookcase of books but they do a fairly good job of finding at least a few good ones.
It's a good book as far as the series goes. Great for young readers with the amount of information it sneaks in on the lifestyles of guinea pigs, squirrels, and defining big words. Although I was a little... concerned on how they were going to try to breach the topic of "having pups" the author seems to have done the most PG version I've ever read. Good job overall.
Also, kudos to Brewster and her illustrations. Very cute.

Grabbed off the shelf at work as the other book I had been reading was annoying me and I wanted something light.

This was cute. I loved all the characters, especially Perky. I may try and read the others in the series.

Pee-Wee and Lexi are back in another Park Pals chapter book for transitional readers. This time Pee-Wee desires company and so finds and not-so-easily woos Plush, a fancy and delicate guinea pig.

I would have liked this book better if Plush didn't bug the crap out of me.

I didn't know anything about this book when I picked it up at the discard bin of the library, but it was really enjoyable and the kids liked it too. Now we would like to read the other 2 books in the series.
