Ivy Morris Mysteries

The Wrong Drawers

Rate this book
Ivy Morris is back again, and this time she's determined to stay out of trouble. She's comfortably ensconced in her very own costume shop and happy as a clam. Happy as a clam can be, anyway, when her father has essentially moved in with her for an indefinite amount of time, and her love life is frustratingly on hold. She's sure she is quickly going insane.

So when her best friend, Bella, asks for help with an in-home demonstration party, Ivy jumps at the chance to get out of the house and away from her dad. She has no real idea what they'll be demonstrating until she gets a load of the cookies she has to decorate. But that becomes the least of her troubles when she walks straight into another murder scene. One where she's the prime suspect.

What else could go wrong? When you're Ivy Morris, the only right answer is everything. With the help of hunky Ben Fallon, this girl will try to figure out why she's being framed and what it has to do with her getting THE WRONG DRAWERS.

Lord poor Ivy just can't catch a break, she should really become a cop because she does better at solving crimes than the local police. I absolutely love Ivy and Ben, they are the cutest couple! Now on to book 3, I just can't get enough. Definitely recommend this series

I'm enjoying watching these characters emerge. The addition of Ivy's father makes for a lot of hysterical scenes.

Ivy is at it again. She’s settled into her new life in her new town, with new friends, and a new guy. And her dad.

I am absolutely in love with Ivy and with this series. Ivy is quirky (who vacuums leaves instead of raking them?) and fun and I would so want her as a best friend.

The author is a lot like Ivy — her writing is quirky and fun and hits all the right spots. Yes, there’s a mystery (that gets solved), and all sorts of mayhem, but the writing leaves you with a smile and feeling good for having read the story.

Recommendation: Definitely pick this one (and the first one!) up, sit back, and enjoy! I know you will.

Ivy Morris, the owner of a costume/lingerie store was helping best friend Bella throw a adult "toy" party. Bella's old friend was back in town. The old friend was not at all kind to Ivy and she flat out told her she was going to run her out of business if not the town.

When the friend shows up dead all heck breaks loose for Ivy and she is once again the suspect in a murder case. On top of all that she still has not been intimate with the sexy boyfriend Ben and it has a lot to do with the fact her father just wont leave her house. Can she and Ben find the killer or will the police arrest her?

This is book two in a series, I feel it can be read as a stand alone, but with all series books I recommend read them in order. I found myself laughing out load in the book, and I have loved the characters since book one. Ivy is always getting into trouble, but Bella and Ben are her biggest cheerleaders. I hope to hear more from the author. This is a great read and I would highly recommend.

This book took a little more to get into it, I think because of a rift at the start between two characters. The lack of the one character for 1/3 of the book was felt, and I missed Ivy's interactions with that person. Once the two reconciled, the book was much more interesting to me, and the developing relationship between Ivy and Ben was great! Ivy's dad is fun, I hope to see more of him in future books!

Book Two, The Wrong Drawers keeps the ball rolling when Ivy is framed in the murder of Bella’s high school friend and things between the besties become a little rocky. To make matters worse, Ivy’s dad is playing interference where her romantic life is concerned.

No, not only does Ivy have to prove her innocence, she has to contend with a raging case of the bedroom blues!
