This is a memoir by a teacher who was in a school with a lot of south Asian immigrant children in the UK many decades ago. She wrote about how she and the other teachers tried to navigate around and accommodate cultural differences and language barriers with the students and parents' community. It was pretty funny and touching. I read this book well over 2 decades ago in the 1990s when I was a child so I don't remember a great amount of detail.
