A really accessible, informative book. Hop covers all the basics (beyond the bare bones of how to apply the rules, which one assumes is in Level 1 of the series) but uses humor to keep things approachable and light. His YouTube channel is similar.

I'll definitely be moving on to Level 3 once I'm a bit better at using the contents of Level 2.

Yet another great installment from Mr. Hop! His Go tutorials are different than any others on the market; his writing is breezy and easy to understand, and he never takes himself too seriously. Still, he knows his stuff and it shows! I found the second book to be even more accessible than the first in the series, if only because I understand the game so much better. The book is filled with technical details and more insight into the annals of the game all over the world. It's surprisingly comprehensive and a delight to read. Highly recommended.

The book is written in a friendly, conversational tone and shared some insights, but overall I thought it was too fluffy and lacked structure and depth. For people who want a more casual book to learn some strategy, this is ok, but for players who are more seriously looking to improve I recommend the Elementary Go Series.

Conversational style, easy going. I enjoyed it. Will need to see if it helped improve my game.

Lots of fun banter makes this less dense than other Go books, which is nice for terrible players like me.
