My actual rating is 3.5 stars.

A book that is part of the Dragonlance world. This story could have taken place in any setting. A farming village is besieged by a group of brigands and several of the farmers leave their village in search of warriors to aid them. The group that assists them is an eclectic group.

I liked this book. There was a plenty of action. Also, this group of different characters provided different points of views and I enjoyed them coming together. Because of these different characters I believe readers will get attached to varying characters. I also enjoyed one particular character's growth as he recovered his honor. This story isn't epic on scale. The whole world doesn't depend on these events but sometimes a little side adventure is nice and enjoyable.

This was a nice quick story that I believe all readers will enjoy.

One of my favorite stand alone books on my shelf. A quick read but one you will read over and over again.
