This was my first Deborah Garland. When I say this gorgeous cover was available in Audio, I jumped on it.

This book has so many things I love:
-Irish Mafia King
-Age Gap
-Arranged Marriage
-Dominant K!nky Hero
-Eager Virg!n Heroine
-Fighting hard but making up sweet

My cup was full for sure!

I thought this was fast paced, exciting and steamy AF. Isabella was fierce and she has dreams too. She's heartbroken after losing her mother and desperate to escape from under her father's thumb. Without her mother there to take it, his abuse is turning to her.

Luckily, or unluckily, Kieran has his eye on her and thinks she will be the perfect jewel for his crown. He just isn't expecting her to demand more from him. He thinks his desires are too dark for his Mafia Princess but... he is a fool. Haha!

I really loved the give and take between them and though Kieran got stupidly frustrating at some points, it made his fall into her arms that much sweeter.

Powerfully performed by Tyler Griffen and Lexi Evans, I would recommend for the romance reader who doesn't mind having their cheeks burn in public...

Only 18% in and I'm already tired of reading how he likes his sex rough. I get it, you like rough sex. I don't need to be reminded of how you like your sex rough because in all of your inner musings you constantly go on about how you like rough sex and you don't think your innocent wife will be able to handle the rough sex that you like so you'll just have to keep going to your sex club to get the kind of sex you like-you know, rough.🙄

Kieran and Isabella

Firstly I was surprised at how big the age gap was but these two make it work.

Kieran really is a Savage King for how he ends up getting Isabella but he’s very caring and loving towards Isabella despite is emotional past. Isabella is a strong female despite what is thrown in her way she still keeps her head high and makes sure she is heard.

The two have great chemistry together and the scenes are quite HOT.

The brothers equation together is fun to read, I always like to read a few sibling banters as it makes the book a lot more fun.

Overall a great read.

This was really good for me! This was one of my introduction books into bratva/mafia trope and I really enjoyed it. The plot and characters were good and the spice was spicy

To the female narrator Lexi Evan’s, she did really good. The Male narrator did quite good with the Irish accent although there were definitely times it slipped and it was more monotone.

Why was this book nothing but repetitive bullshit? I get it. Kieran likes rough sex but my god! Did I have to be reminded every single page over half the book 😡😡😡 and don't even get me started on Isabella!!! How many times did her wanting freedom and wanting freedom have to be repeated? That's all the story was. Repetition and more repetition. This was so disappointing compared to book 1. And I had issues with that book, too. I'm not sure that this series is for me. I want to try to give the other couples a chance, but it's not looking good.

I enjoyed this a lot. I found that Isabella would challenge him and stand her ground. She had a bratty side that would push his buttons. Kieran may be a grumpy, angry man but what he did for her. Standing up to her father, taking care of her and devouring her made me swoon. The bath tub scene with the jets was illegal and I screamed. Also the breeding kink and him wanting to get her pregnant just altered my brain chemistry. Loved the characters and storyline. Audiobook narration was fantastic by Lexi and Tyler. This is one of the more stand out Mafia reads for me!

While I enjoyed this new to me author and this book about the Irish Mafia,what I didn't like was the constant reference to the hero's dead fiancee.That is my most hated trope in romance.The hero didn't acknowledge his love for the heroine till almost to the very end because the love he felt for his dead fiancee is not what he feels for his young wife.I really wasn't convinced.

I read this book without reading the blurb. now I know I should’ve been smarter than that.

All I knew was that it was a forced marriage enemies to lovers.
There was no enemies !!!girl was not forced!!! She was OK about the idea of marrying him the first day she met him. She was OK while planning the wedding or thinking about the wedding.

Also about 80% of the book she keeps preaching that she wants freedom and that she’s her own woman and then all of a sudden she says about herself(his property) ma’am, no.

After reading this book, I was excited when I saw it was being released on audio.

I loved how they portrayed Isabella as not just your typical damsel in distress. She had beauty and brains.
Kieran is the morally grey mafia king with a troubled past who guards his heart.
The chemistry between these two was fire!!

Tyler Griffen and Lexi Evans were amazing as the voices of Isabella and Kieran. Hearing the characters come to life off the page left me satisfied. I would recommend earbuds with this one because some scenes were definitely 🥵🥵

I look forward to the next book in this series!

This book picks up right after the events of Book 1, Sinful Vows. Even though this book, Savage King, focuses on a different couple, I think it might be helpful to read Book 1 to understand the overarching plot of an impending war between families as well as who some of the characters are.

Kieran makes an arrangement to marry Isabella, the Italian princess. While Isabella does not want this, she still tries to make the best of her situation. She does not want to get pregnant so soon though, having aspirations of her own. Kieran's sole want in a marriage is for an heir, so he views this as an business transaction and nothing more. He does not feel he is capable of loving someone after the loss of his fiancee. The two of them definitely challenge each other in this book, but you could see them also slowly building that connection and trying to development a relationship, even if it was not built on love. Isabella herself might be young, but she is not naive and not a pushover. She sticks to her principles and is willing to make this marriage work. Kieran might seem ruthless as the leader of the Irish mob, but he also wants to make sure Isabella is taken care of and does not want to intentionally hurt her. While he tries to keep her at arm's length, he also cannot help but gravitate towards her. This couple really makes you cheer for them.

Along with that, we get to see how the O'Rourke family operates and it was nice to see the bonds between the siblings. We also get the overarching plot of the impending war, and while I would have liked to see more of this throughout the story rather than closer to the end, it was still enough to keep the pages turning, wondering what would come next. I felt the writing and pacing were rushed at some points, but it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. We do get a HEA, but with a cliffhanger that opens for Riordan's story, which I cannot wait to read next!

I stumbled on this author and let me tell you what a find! To begin with, you may want to read trigger warnings as this book contains what may be sensitive issues for some. That being said, Savage King is an excellent, intense, heartbreaking at times, fast paced, age gap, "arranged" marriage story that packs a big punch! Kieran O'Rourke is the head of the Irish Crime Syndicate in Astoria. Isabella Parisi is the daughter of Gabriel Parisi, head of the Italian Crime Family. These two are at opposite ends of the spectrum but Holy H*^* do they ever create heat! This has been an excellent introduction to this new to me author and I can't wait for her next book!

4.5 stars - Kieran O’Rourke and Isabella (Princess, Izzy) Parisi are over-the-top entertaining and hot! He's a major alphahole. She's a sweet, sheltered mafia princess. Together, their oil and water manages to mix and completely catch fire. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The plan is to fill her with my seed and breed her. Her image was fuzzy in my mind, conjuring up this plan two weeks ago. Now, I don’t know if I want to fuck her in the car going home, then in my bed, or not touch her at all. Because perhaps I won’t want to stop.

I like that he's upfront with her about expectations, including a lack of expected faithfulness. (there's no cheating) He also shares his darker desires as they go along, thinking she can never meet his needs. The fact that Izzy surprises him time and again is fantastic.

There are a lot of betrayals from "friends" and family. There are some eww moments as well as violence. Perhaps the hardest being a very, very personal loss. Bottom line, consider checking trigger and content warnings. If you don't care, this 🌶🌶🌶🌶 book just might be a good fit. 🥵

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Lexi Evans and Tyler Griffin, are FANTASTIC! I love the accents, especially for the O’Rourkes. Oh, how I love Irish (& British) accents. 🇮🇪

I met yet another new Mafia Author. I'm going to follow all her books religiously. This book was fantastic to read. I finished the whole book within 2hrs.

Kieran - He's a king who's kept his heart safe wrapped with tight bricks. Blame his past relationship which ended up extremely bad for him. He knew how to protect what was his but then life was also hard on him. I got involved with his character each time he failed to express himself.

Isabella - Izzy is a savage woman. She knows how to play and tease even though she's 21 years old young wife, she was the perfect wife for Kieran and he should definitely accept it.

The chemistry between the couple was on DOT. However, some parts was cheesy and cliché (That's a Mafia Theme) but then apart from that it was a good read.

Also, my expectations after reading the Blurb could be high. When the Blurb ended like 'And I'm a keeping a Secret that will destroy us both' was giving me vibes of a suspense filled Mafia Romance but then it was predictable.

I expected a some more cute moments between the brothers and sister. I loved the way Kieran bonds with his siblings. Especially adored him taking care of his baby sister.

Queen of his heart

This is the perfect second chance. They might be far apart, but they end up so close together. I love how she patiently waits until he accepts reality, well mostly patiently. The author had to add some drama, danger, and emotional angst before we reached the HEA. Be warned, there are some trigger points, but the good guys manage to win the day. I fell in love with this family and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I have been hooked onto this series after reading Lachlan O'Rourke book. And having the opportunity to receive the audible for the first book was just amazing...I loved this duet narration by Tyler Griffin and Lexi Evans...the emotions and accents...flawless.

With that being said, I didn't love this book as much as Lachlan, Dar and Eoghans books. It had to do with the complete obsession, love, loyalty and protectiveness they had for the woman they loved.

And I didn't get that from Kieran which was a huge let down. I also didn't love the heroine that much ...or at all...which is sad because I love the little snippets we have of them in the later books 🙈

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Isabella and Kieran. He went to school with her father but they have grown apart over the years. Kieran is the head of the Irish Mafia, while Isabella’s father is the head of the Italian Mafia.
Isabella’s father is broke and needs money, her home was blown up and her mother was killed and Kieran needs a bride and decides that he wants Isabella for the role.
Through fights and kisses watch these two fall in love with one another in another great book by Deborah Garland.

I love a mafia romance and very much enjoyed Isabella and Kieran’s chemistry that pulsed from the beginning of their arrqanged union. Dangerous, hard, and demanding Kieran oozes fierce Irish mafia Don from every corner of his being, but I loved the glimpses of soft he had just for Isabella. I loved Isabella’s strong character and their push and pull. The spice was spicin’ in this one! Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Tyler and Lexi were new narrators for me and I thought they enhanced the story and brought Kieran and Isabella to life! Tyler does an Irish brogue which can be hard to pull off. I actually went and pulled other books to see if it was a real accent or not because I thought it was so well done! Lexi was a brilliant Isabella and I enjoyed her sweet and strong voice. I enjoyed this listen and will be looking for more from them in the future!

The Irish king needs an heir and what better choice for a bride than the Italian princess? Savage King picks up right after Sinful Vows and while they are interconnected standalones, it still might be helpful to read SV first. I enjoyed the writing style for the most part, but struggled with some of the misogynistic undertones and yet another incest fueled scene. It's really not my jam.

FMC - I wanted to shake her violently!! She literally gaslit herself!! He said some of the most hurtful things & she brushes it off. She blames herself.

Even at about 80% he learns she’s still on BC & she leaves. He doesn’t go after her right away. He barely seems angry. He says he just needs to get over it so he can go back to the sex club!! Wtaf?!? Nooooooo!!! He leaves her on their wedding night to meet another woman from his sex club app. But when she gets there he can’t go thru with it.
But I don’t see the problem cuz FMC would’ve gotten over it. She wasn’t that upset that he did it. Sure she wishes he wouldn’t but just thinks she needs to try harder to make him want her?!?! Nope b-tch you’re an idiot!!

He said he’ll never love her but she’s barely fazed!!

FMC went to club with husband and a couple friends of hers - except one girl she started noticing her not being so nice & making snide comments & inappropriate comments to her about the MMC - the other girls go the the restroom & leaves this pos girl there with him & she immediately straddled him & propositioned him & he went off a bit on her & tells her to f-off. He tells the FMC & she’s like nooooo she wouldnt?!?!? Oh well maybe. Thanks for telling me?????

Then the dead ex(fiancé) trope - gawd I hate that. He says it’s why he’ll never love someone else & why he’s a whore that likes it rough with random women every night. But the FMC cannot be any more pathetic- I just can’t - it ticks me off too much!

Kieran is the head of the Irish mafia and has his sights set on Isabella. She is an Italian mafia princess, and almost 20 years younger than him. He wants to tie his family to hers to strengthen their allegiance, as well as help Isabella’s father with money. Isabella’s mom was just killed in a house fire and they are looking at the Russians as suspects. Isabella has no choice but to marry Kieran. Kieran’s fiancé died years ago and feels as if he can never love again. But, there’s something about Isabella that he is drawn too. They start to develop feelings for one another, even though Kieran can’t admit to it. The Italians and Russians come to play a part in their story and try to ruin things for them both. Kieran and his brothers put a stop to it and in the end they get their HEA.

I loved the connection between Isabella and Kieran. They were able to help each other and see what true love really is. I loved the twists and turns of this book and how it all played out. Also, Kieran’s filthy mouth and heat between them is STEAMY! 🥵🔥

This book ends on a cliffhanger in the form of the next brother’s story and I can’t wait to read that next! 😍

I loved the characters they’re amazing. I loved how they finally got together and admitted their feelings for each other. Kieran is such a complex character i liked him but then i hated him but then i liked him again. As for Isabella she’s amazing i liked her and i was so happy that she finally managed to control Kieran.
