I found this book very interesting. The information in it was varied, and informative without being patronising to those who don't know more about the street community. I found the several ways that you could read this book fun too. I've read this book completely, following the way that King Adz advises you too, and I am glad that I have. But it's also great that you can have it as a coffee table book, to pick up and flick through at your own leisure.

I only gave this book three out of five stars. I appreciated the obvious passion the author had for the subject matter, but it failed to capture my attention.

I think part of the problem was the disjointed style of narrative. Imagine a Michael Bay-style of directing funneled into book form. Quick cuts, a lot of flare, but it’s sometimes too much.

Please don’t view this review as a condemnation of the artwork contained within Street Knowledge. It is absolutely visually stunning and I found myself googling and discovering art/artists I was not aware of - so this book did expand my “street knowledge”. So I guess that’s a win?

A proper deep dive into street culture and the history of street art, read as a sequential encyclopedia, or moving between pages, to tell the story of street art and the history of the medium.

gonna get me some nah ledge
Very nice world wide review of art, music, and fashion (and some good tips on food, squats, clubs etc in various cities) complete with a few photos of each entry and web links. Some sorts of "street art" are fairly derivative and run by commercial ad agencies, and young people tend to get brainwashed with the new, but there are some very serious folks out there who just want to make art where they live. outside. take a look around you, there may be some for you to enjoy, without a book.

I really enjoyed this book. You can read it in two ways, from cover to cover or dip in and out when you please. It had interesting philosophies about the city's, around the world and there street artists. Enjoy your journey through art if you choose to pick up this book.

A great breakfast look. It is mostly graffiti art. I did not read any of it.
