There’s more than one way to outsmart a fox… A Cougar Falls story. Trust Julia Easton to screw up Sheriff Ty Roderick’s March Madness plans. The pixie-faced vixen might be the picture of feminine perfection, but she tests his innate sense of order to its limits. Weeks ago, he let his conscience turn down a proposition his body still burns to accept—then she vanished. Now he’s in the middle of Nowhere, Washington, racing to rescue her from danger. There’s risk in leaving Cougar Falls, but it’s the only way Julia can hope to save her sister from making the same mistake she almost made with Ty. Settling down and having kits is one thing, but it can’t be done with a human, especially one from a hunting family. Unfortunately, her sister isn’t budging, and the fiancé’s brother won’t take Julia’s no for an answer, either. When Ty comes riding to their rescue, Julia plans to use him and lose him. No way is she throwing herself at that alpha jerk’s feet in gratitude. Then Ty gives her the answer her heart still longs he wants to spend the rest of his life making things right. Now if only she can find the courage to say yes. Beware a foxy sheriff, a backwoods bad guy, a cunning vixen, sexy escapades in and out of the bedroom, and the return of stubborn male shifters who think they know everything.

"Ty didn't know whether to spank Julia or kiss her senseless."
There's something about fox shifters that makes me ridiculously happy and was the reason for me picking up this book without reading the previous ones in the series. This was enjoyable, decently written but way too short.
"he'd finally found that part of him always missing, loving Julia was making him long for kits, for home and hearth. For forever."
I really liked this. Come to think of it, I haven't read a Marie Harte book I didn't like. It has been a while since I read the other cougar falls books so it took me a little bit to get back into. But I really enjoyed it. Read it in one day!
I've been anxiously awaiting this continuation of the Cougar Falls series. I love all the people of this AcTaw town. I wish it was a longer book though. I really enjoy the dynamics of these clans/packs/prides. Sassy strong females, protective alpha males who love their mates. Interesting conflicts both outside and inside their secret town. And of course, lots of shifter Lovin!!!
I wasn't sure at first about this story because Ty was a little too arrogant and sure of himself when it came to conquering Julia. He didn't even plan on "claiming" her really. His goal initially was just to take her up on what she had previously offered. So his cocky attitude didn't quite sit right with me. I wanted him to just KNOW she was his and ache for her to be his mate right away. However, not to worry. It was a short story and it did not take long for them to fall in love and realize their true need to be together. It would have been fun to see him squirm a little more though. She was so in to him, she gave in pretty easily. But there is something to be said for her intense love for him.
For short stories, they are well developed and deliciously layered. Its fun to try and figure out who's story will be next.
Book Three in a series about shifters who live, work and love in Cougar Falls. But all is not OK in Shifter-land and the intrusion of the "outside world" causes hurt and could bring death to some of the residents. At its core, this story is about Julia and Ty and how they had to work hard to solidify the connection that was drawing them together. They had to get past not only come community prejudices but their own fears of being ostracized even as they tried to find a path to each other. A very good novella.
I liked this book, but only gave it 3 stars because it wasn't as good as the first two: 'Rachel's Totem' and 'In Plain Sight'. There just wasn't enough story and character development in this series, which is a shame because Cougar Falls could have been a great series with a little more work. There were other potential stories hinted at in this book that just haven't happened. The ending was fun and it is worth a read.

Heather's Notes This was a cute short story. I like Ty and Julia. I thought they fit well together. Not a big plot, but it worked well. I will probably continue this series.
In the third book in the Cougar Falls series, fox shifter Julia Easton is determined to convince her youngest sister, Meghan, that marrying a human, an outsider from a Hunter family, is a bad idea. Meghan, however, loves Jason, but his brothers and father are dead set on making trouble for the Easton women. Sheriff Ty Roderick has longed for Julia for years, and he drops everything to rescue her when he learns she’s in trouble. To deter Jason’s cruel, obstinate brother who wants Julia for his own, Ty plays the part of Julia’s boyfriend and soon makes a ton of enemies. Julia is a very stubborn, overly protective woman. She loves her sisters dearly, but she’s so tired of never feeling good enough and having to hide a family secret. Ty is protective over Julia and more than understanding to her needs. They fit really well together. The best parts, for me, were the action scenes with the Hunters and Shifters going at each other. I really enjoyed the emotional conflict between Julia and Ty. Though there were some secrets and misconceptions at first, the H/h didn’t hold much back and got to the point quickly, even when they argued. The open communication was a breath of fresh air, something that’s not very common in romance books, unfortunately. I definitely enjoyed this story. 4 Stars
Been a while since I read these books. Seeing them in KU, I decided to have a reread. Pleasant and enjoyable with a bit of theatrics but not one of the better stories in this series. Just wish Julia had made Ty work a bit harder at earning her. She deserved more respect. Julia may have been his mate but she was pining whilst Ty didn’t accept that fact for ages. Ty wasn’t the greatest of hero's for my taste. He is a player and finally decided he would have Julia for a short while, only because she had left town. Read through Kindle Unlimited.
Another great story. Love the 'characters' of Cougar Falls. They are full of drama, funny, sexy and weird. Ty is great and I enjoyed his story. Always fun to watch the tough, strong and serious ones fall, allowing them to embrace the fun and realize there's more to life than rules and obligations.
Darker than the previous two but I liked the adventure aspect. I thought romantic MCs were a little flat BUT the side characters got a lot of page time which I did enjoy and fleshes out the town of Cougar Falls a little more. The spice wasn’t quite my style but it wasn’t terrible. Just meh for me on this one.

I just finished this book. When I started this book I almost was not able to go on and read because it was not grabbing me but I stayed with it and I was surprised at how it turned out.
This is the third book in the series of Cougar Falls. I loved this story. I love getting to find unusual shifter romance that is not based of cougars or bears. This one deals with Foxes. I loved this book. I love how they had the characters act like foxes in being sly. I loved that their romance was not immediate but slowly. this book is a great book to check out.
This is book three in Marie Harte's Cougar Falls series. This has become my new favorite series and I am just gobbling up the books. Thank goodness they are very reasonably priced on Amazon so my husband cant complain about me breaking the bank! This story is about Fox Shape Shifters Julia and Ty (short for Tyler). Ty is the town Sheriff and Julia I believe is a legal assistant at Cougar Falls only law firm. Julia's sister Jennifer gets engaged to a regular human man she met while away at College. Julia is terrified her sister will be casted out of the Fox clan and does everything in her power to convince Jennifer to give up the fiance Jason. It ends up that Jason belongs to a family of ruthless hunters and when Ty hears this he fears Julia may be in over her head and rushes to aid her. Julia is in deep shit but she still doesn't want to admit she needs Ty's help. This is a good read on the shorter side that I finished in about three hours. Just perfect for an evening of entertainment. So in summary this book is a perfect evening of fun, reasonably priced, and about a hot Alpha Fox and his lady. What are you waiting for? Get out of here and buy that book!
I really love this series. The books always have the right balance of plot and sex and they keep you engaged in the relationships of the characters throughout. These are the sort of book that I read from start to finish without finish. I also like how each book focuses on a new relationship while still including previous characters. From the start I liked Julia. You instantly feel protective because of Ned anne sympathetic because she's losing her sister. Ty swoops in and 'saves her'. I love the way that Harte uses dramatic irony so we know they like each other and they're both pretty clueless :p Anyway these are definitely worth reading in my opinion and worth the £2.89 or something they cost on kindle.
Cute story, the 'barrier' between the H and h was nicely done--it did amount to a failure to communicate but not in a stupid way, more in a trust way. The characters needed to learn to trust each other and the story developed that trust and relationship at a good pacing. This has been an enjoyable series; the books are easy reads--fluffy fic, but with good elements of humor, romance, paranormal and steaminess.
