Outdated but I’m sure pertinent in the 90s

Failures most often occur when we:
1. Talk too much
2. Work too hard
The empirical evidence of how much change can occur in a single therapy session was very encouraging to me, because many times, one session is all a therapist is given to work with.

One of the best all-around guides to therapy work I've ever read. Realistically treats each session as if it could be your last chance to help your client. As someone who cut her teeth doing crisis services, I know this all too well.
