"To be strong, we have to be weak." "To become mature, we have to become children." "To live, we have to die." N. Graham Standish challenges readers to explore these and other biblical examples of paradox. With questions for reflection, discussion after each chapter, and helpful appendixes, this book is ideal for either personal or group study.

Read this with a small group. I thought some of the chapters were better than others, but overall a very good book. Looks pretty dry at first glance, but is actually quite readable and relatable. Good questions for reflection and discussion. Would read more by this author.
I feel that Rev. Dr. Graham Standish is a dynamic speaker and writer. This is the second spiritual reading book by Graham that our small group picked for its monthly group reflection meeting.
This is actually the second time I read this book. It was much better the second time around, studying it with a small group. N. Graham Standish is a very good writer.
