[Ménage Amour: Erotic Fantasy Ménage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, Shape-shifter]
After being abducted, Lexi was unable to escape and about to be murdered. Growls. Bodies flying. The next thing she knows, she’s staring into the eyes of some sexy wolf she met at the club.
Her old friend, Sierra, helped save her, along with three very sexy and intimidating Alpha males. Although they are triplets, Lexi soon finds out that they are just as powerful individually as they are together. But she’s never really belonged, and all she can give them is danger and pain.
Paul, Saber and Andre have found their mate, and they’re ready to claim her body and soul. The one problem, Lexi trusts no one. She’s lived on the streets, survived on her own, and she’s not about to be pampered. They know she’s in danger and that she’s safest with them.
It’s going to take some sneaky, dominant sexual tactics to convince Lexi she’s where she belongs.
Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.
People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.
My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.
Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.
Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.
Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.
Well, I wish I could say that this was a book I could just plow through and love. But it was a chore to get through. It wasn't just the the characters are flat and blend together, it was also the heroine wasn't someone I was rooting for to get with the guys. I actually had hoped she'd escape these neanderthals. It was hard to sit through. They wanted her complete obedience, her submission and they wanted it on their terms. They wanted to do away with everything that made her strong and survive. Don't get me wrong, they admired that about her until -until- she was strong against them and not a woman who was willing to basically become a slave to do as she was told no matter what. I wish I could say the men were hunks and were enough to keep reading, but truth be told, they were the reason I wanted to throw the book through a window.
This could have been amazing. But for me it fell apart fast and had no chance of winning me over. There are very few instances where I wish I could get my money back. This is one of them, unfortunately.
Holy Crap, this book was awful. It's like the editor gave the author a thesaurus and said "Here, go forth and synonymize this book to death!" Add that to sentences like "They were were." and grade school grammar and sentences. It also had what I like to call 'knowledge vomit' rather than have the heroine learn everything in a normal manner they had her go into a trance and 'when she woke up, she would know all.' Following the trance she started to speak awkwardly like 'Mates! come to me, I have much to share with you.' When before it was things like 'Guys, come here, I need to talk to you!'
God this was awful! I didn't finish it, and WILL be returning it.
Lexi spent every moment trying to keep herself alive and those she cares about at a safe distance, not until years later when she sees her best friend at a club does she realize how empty her life has been.
Alpha Paul is the first to notice that he has just found his mate, but she is overly gun shy and keeping him at a distance until she can run again. When Lexi's life is put in danger, Paul and his Alpha brothers Saber and Andre rescue her, but the triplets have an unusual occurrence all three have recognized Lexi as their mate. They have no issue claiming her as their own, but Lexi ready to run again is going to give them a hell of a fight in order to keep the men she has fallen for safe, but she underestimate the men who only want to protect her.
This was an unaware reread for me but delicious all the same. I really enjoyed this story, a great read. Saber is my favorite, very dominant and yet has a vulnerability that gives you warm fuzzies.
Lexi works as head of security at an exclusive nightclub in New York. She's a tough, take-charge kind of female, but that came from years of living on the streets with no family to turn to. All she wants is to support herself while keeping a low profile from some bad guys that have been tracking her for years. She doesn't know what they want or when they will stop, but in order to stay alive she keeps her wits about her and a load of cash back in her apartment as an escape plan should she need it. It isn't until one night while on duty at the club and a chance encounter with her college best friend that the pieces of her life start to fall into place.
Paul, Andre, and Saber are triplets and Alpha were's to the biggest pack in North America and soon on Earth. One look/sniff in Lexi's direction and Paul knows that she's his mate, but that's impossible since she's human. The telepathic connection he shares with his brother's confirm also that they feel the mate attraction to Lexi as well, but how to convice her?
Little do they know she is already aware of were world and little does she know that her connection to that world, runs deeper than she could imagine. Lexi is at the center of a pack war and the first claim her wins.
As soon as I read the synopsis of this story, I immediately bought it. It has all the elements I was looking for, action, romance, scorching sex, some were-wolf action, and a kick-butt alpha female. I was a little disappointed on the kick-butt alpha female part due to the fact that Lexi starts out very independently, but as soon as she gets mixed up with the triplets, she loses herself a little. Lexi allows them to dominate her, even on the simplest of decisions and I didn't feel that that stayed true to character. My initial impression of Lexi was that she is a fighter given the fact that she grew up homeless. She's the very essence of the word survivor and I actually cried while she revealed her story for the first time to the triplets. The triplets however are a little over-bearing, but I felt that that stayed true to their nature both as weres and Alphas. Saber being the most dominate was also the most over-bearing. I didn't appreciate some of the things he said to or demanded of Lexi because to me they seemed rude and insulting. I expected him to come to terms with his softer side, once he realized his feelings for Lexi, but that didn't really happen. There were definite moments of love/hate when it came to Saber, but I guess not all Alphas can have the perfect balance of emotion and dominance. The sexual tension is stifling for the first couple of chapters, but after that we never have to wait long for a really scorching sex scene between Lexi and the triplets. The story does take incredible twists and turns with the reveal of Lexi's true heritage, the identity of living family members, and the role she plays in the supernatural world. The author did a wonderful job world building and the cast of characters were well developed. The ending was not all that unexpected, but beautiful nonetheless. There seems to be a lot more left to this story and if this is a series, I am definitely a fan/follower.
I found this book incredibly annoying. The heroine starts out strong but lets herself be consumed by the three 'heroes'.
The heroes are overbearing douchecanoes who hand out spankings for keeping secrets about things that frankly weren't any of their business (or, you know, things she didn't actually fucking know) , while keeping it secret that the 'hickeys' they laid on her were actually mating bites. She never actually confronts them about it. They also expect her to be completely servile and submissive which, fine, whatever floats your boat, but if you want someone like that why not go look for someone like that? Instead of breaking a perfectly satisfactory strong beautiful woman?
Also the writing was kind of bland, and not good enough to make up for the terrible terrible characters.
(also I may have lost something here but at one point the heroine's cast just vanishes)
First off, there were things that I loved about this book and things that I hated. I did not like the whole submissive thing that Lexi had to do. I did not like that aspect of the book one bit. Also, in the beginning it was hard to keep up with all the characters that the author kept spitting out. Now as for the story, I did enjoy that a lot. I was not sure how I was going to like this book when it came across my recommendations but overall it was pretty good.
This was the best book in the series. It seemed as if they others were pale successors and didn't quite capture my attention as well. Some of the polyamorous love scenes were over the top but overall it was a decent read.
It was pretty much by chance I found this book during a mindless google search and out of protest against reading 50 shades of grey. While the cover art made me laugh as well as assume something. Completely different I found the book a fun and good read. Was it finally with drama and plot twists? Heck no, but it was filled with smexy weres and hot sex scenes which was exactly what I wanted to read at the moment so it didn't disappoint. If I have a complaint about the characters though I would have to say Lexi was a little 2 dimensional, having such a strong background to pull on and yet easily allow not one but three men control her so easily but hey, I didn't pick the book because I wanted an only long drawn out romance before the erotica could appear so I received what I wanted.
If you're looking for an erotic novel with some supernatural I would suggest you read this book.

Ok I totally LOVED this book. It was great. Saber was my favorite. I liked Lexi she wasn't like all the other annoying heroine. Atleast she accepted what was happening for what it is. And she wasn't acting stupid. But this is a great book. Lots of sex scenes. They were some FREAKS!!! LOL u get it "WERE"!!!!!
So, overall? Not so good writing, poor plot movement and pacing, gaps in the plot counterpointed by uneven detailing (some parts way overdone while other very necessary pieces are practically missing).
Specific #1: OMG the heroine who has spent her life on the streets is a fucking *virgin*? in what world? as if it's not enough that she has never had a steady boyfriend, that she has never even felt what it's "like to be hugged by a man" (Location 1505), but the author had to go and make her a *virgin* too – with all of the fetishes that go along with virginity, gag.
Specific #2: Along with a virgin heroine, it turns out – and just in the nick of time in both cases – that she's not just "were" (a werewolf), as find out a third or more through the book, but she's also – and we find this out just in the nick of time as well, i.e., when it can be introduced to insert some semblance of coherence into a woefully flagging plot, that she's also fae (misspelled as "fey" throughout the book). So now we have a miraculous part werewolf part fairy virgin as our heroine. in New York City. in her early twenties. in the current era. and she's gorgeous. yeah, right.
Specific #3: This is supposed to be erotica. But in what world of erotica is pushing a finger in and out and in and out and in and out of a vagina equivalent to foreplay? where is the *clitoris* on this heroine? how miraculous a being is the heroine that she *screams* her always very quick and very loud orgasms from a fucking that is *never* preceded by more than a rough vaginal fingering (with no attention to the clit), if that. Jump on and hump is the rule in this story, and fucking only ever consists of ramming that cock into the presumptively ready vagina (or anus: see below). Or, more precisely, into the vagina's "vaginal walls" which, rather than pussies, is the relevant female part for the incoming cock. Indeed, the author makes pussy lips more erotically relevant than the clitoris: "his teeth latched on to her labia and gently tugged" [Loc. 13484]. Ouch.
And don't even get me started on the representations of anal sex: what kind of erotica writer tries to write a double-penetration foursome with a woman and three men and no goddamn lube? Is our miraculous heroine miraculously naturally lubricated in her 'backside' too? ("Backside" is the only term that the author has for asshole other than "puckered hole"....) No, that just doesn't happen. And this isn't the representation for just one double-penetration scene but for every single one of them in this book. The closest the author gets to lube is what she calls the "liquid" (Location #3731, #10940, #10995) the heroine "secretes" (Loc. 3731) or, elsewhere, "ooze[s]" (Loc. 3219). Moreover, that "liquid" is rubbed from vagina to asshole and back again to vagina for more of said liquid, with no care for the prospect of bacterial infections let alone the extensive lube needs of an asshole when its owner is having not merely anal sex but double-penetration sex. Tight fit: lube needed; no brainer.

I have read this Trilogy a few times now, and I’ll explain why I always return.
I love this Authors writing style, mixing Fantasy, some action, romance, shifters and Reverse Harem all into one story. It’s so easy to read yet exciting too! The characters tend to be full of sass and be string Characters, though sometimes situations where the responses frustrate me, I still love every page.
The sex scenes are soooo steamy! So if you enjoy some smoking hot moments in your stories, then this Author is queen. This is the woman who started me reading Erotica and Reverse Harem, and I still come back to my favourites regularly.
In this books case, I love how the story starts out, it’s unpredictable and just a bit different, I was never entirely sure what the Characters and plot would reveal next! It had me on the edge of my seat, excited to see where the storyline was going.
The men in the story are very different to one another, though for myself, Saber is very definitely my favourite, just WOW! Lexi is one very lucky lady 😏😏
I loved Feldman and the revelations we were given along the way! It was surprising and sweet, and brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. If you enjoy Paranormal Shifter Romances, then this is certainly something you should pick up soon! And you can now grab the Trilogy boxset on Amazon kindle!
The beginning was rather good and I instantly liked the characters, plus the book itself was so easy to read that I didn't even notice the time pass. But than it was like a switch was flicked and we went from a good developing of the plot to the never ending sex scenes. Nothing against sex in a book, but it can't monopolize the whole story. The sex scenes always came at the wrong time - like during an argument that was never truly resolved because the characters started making out, or in the middle of some serious discussion. It never felt quite natural, at least to me it didn't, and I always felt impatient for the characters to get on with it and continue the main story (which could have been so good!). So, yeah. Kind of disappointed here.
Love this series. Ticks all the boxes! Multiple mates, alpha possessiveness, sassy heroine, werewolves, faeries and magic. Lexi who thinks she’s a down and out human works for werewolves and they don’t know she knows their secret. The past catches up with Lexi however this time three alpha males are claiming her as their mate. Very sensual and hot, it burns the pages up!
This was an awesome read. It keeps you entertained through the whole book. The characters within the story make you almost feel like you can see what is going to happen next.
This is a great read and is packed with action-packed drama. Lexi barely escapes when she connects with triplets, and she doesn't trust easily. The triplets have found their mate who happens to be Lexi. Will she accept her fate and get a chance for happiness.
This book is the beginning of a great series. Not only Were's but Fey, goddesses and other creatures all in one series. Read along as the world as we know it is in danger and must've saved. A definite Must Read.
This is going to be a 3-in-1 review, cause the whole Were Trilogy is, essentially, the same book. And for the purposes of the review I'll treat it as one entity and post this same review under all three books.
This trilogy had so much potential to be great! The concept is fun and sexy and has some adventure. However, the execution was a little painful (no pun intended). This was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, because I liked the story and actually read all three books, which is why I gave it 2 stars. But I couldn't give it more than 2 stars, because the writing was awful.
All three books have heroines who are sexually inexperienced, independent women who had to survive on their own. All the heroes are Alpha wolves... blah blah blah. I get that cliches work and people like them. I read the books, so I'm no exception. However, a little variation here would have been appreciated. Also, the sex scenes were so repetitive that I had to start skipping over them. A little bit of creativity could have gone a long way.
What drove me crazy with this author is that everyone "states" everything. When I imagine someone "stating" something, I think of an authoritative, matter of fact type of statement. Kind of deadpan, even. Dixie Lynn Dwyer, however, thinks that everyone can state anything in any context.
"I love you," he stated. ... deadpan ... In the heat of passion ... "Mine," he stated... umm in the heat of passion, I'd expect him to growl it. He's a wolf for god's sake!
And just so you don't think my snarkiness is unjustified, I had my e-reader count the number of times "state," "stated," or "statement" appeared in all three books - Were She Belongs, Were Love Found Her, and Were Love Conquers All - and the combined number is over 400 times. That's scary.
Other quotes that make me sad:
"His eyes roamed over the cleavage of her chest..." as opposed to the cleavage of her ... ass? do we really need that distinction? I'd let it go, if it only happened once, but...
"Charity awoke, finding all three brothers holding her stare." umm... does she have three sets of eyes?
Also, Dixie Lynn Dwyer likes for her characters to "lock gazes." A lot. Folks were locking gazes left, right and sideways. In all three books there were a total 56 "locked gazes."
"She moaned and withered from the triple onslaught of sensations..." withered? that is not a word I'd associate with mind-blowing pleasure, more like slow horrifying death.
These are just some examples from all three books, I can go on. But I'll stop. I think you get the point.
I gave the trilogy two stars because I really wanted to like it. I actually finished it and the story itself had potential. But the writing was just ... not good. I tried out some books from Dixie Lynn Dwyer's other series and it's just more of the same.
Lexi has been on her own for as long as she can remember and on the run for the last few years. Leaving her best friend behind without a ‘good bye’ was the hardest thing she had ever done but in order to protect Sierra it was necessary.
My second time through Were She Belongs wasn’t nearly as exciting as my first time through it, even so, I was no were near disappointed in the story as a whole. There were a few things that drove me nut and I will get to those shortly. First I want to talk about what I really liked about this story. I really like the story line and how you also got to touch base with the bad guys from time to time to see the plotting. I really liked the characters, especially Sierra and Lexi and I can just imagine how much they will stir the pot with their mates. I think my favorite part is how Lexi finds out she has family and their reactions when they find out.
Lexi’s character had some interesting contradictions given how she was raised. She grew up a street kid and for all intents and purposes she was street smart and trusted no one, and for valid reasons. It is for those reasons a lone I expected her to fight harder against her mates and really thought she would at least try to run but she didn’t. This is where we get into what I don’t like about this story, the lack of consistency and continuity in places crated some comprehension issue at times especially when the time line seemed out of whack and characters were out of place. For example, when Feldman called Valco Lexi’s mate when he isn’t, he is Sierra’s mate. This one drives me absolutely crazy how can Andre’s ball be slapping Lexi’s ass when she is bent over the arm of the couch (on her stomach), seems to me his ball would be hitting somewhere in the vicinity of her clit.
The inconsistencies were the biggest editing issue in the book when the tally was completed on the number of edits I found but thankfully the edits only added up to enough to cost the author to lose only one star from the rating I intend to give this story. But as I sit here and ponder what my decision on this should be I am torn because I have read this book more than once and should for that very reason give this book a four-star rating because the edits omit a five-star rating but I am also considering a three-star rating because I am almost feeling like I should give it a four-star rating minus the star for the edits. Which brings me around to thinking maybe I should change my rating criteria by creating a separate rating system for the editing that is separate from my love it or hate it ratings.
This book was: brilliant. I loved every second of it and I couldn't put it down. It was enticing, addictive and it delivered (in my eyes... remember that).
The plot was: incredible. The beginning was: alluring. The middle was: fan-freaking-tastic. The crescendo was: not as good as it could have been, but still amazing. The finish/ending was: lovely and it made me want to read the following book; but when I did a check-up of the following book, I discovered that it had different (if familiar) main characters. That made me pause, why the f*** can't a series have the same protagonists? Still, this book is still excellent.
The characters were: all portrayed perfectly; with depth and different characteristics. The worldbuilding was: seamless (which is perfect). The language was: brilliant... well, to be honest, I can't really remember what I thought of the author's use of language since I was so focused on the plot... but that's a great compliment in an of its self; but I can't remember any part were I had to re-read something or that I came by some word or phrase that was just plain wrong. (But maybe my Swedish heritage has something to do with that since my English isn't top notch!) The themes represented in the book were: love, fear, companionship, family, villains, heroes, good and evil etc.
Would I recommend this book? Yes/no? Why/why not? Yes! Of course I would recommend this book. If I wouldn't, then what book would I recommend?

My Review: Well that was a fun read! I loved the characters, Lexi is awesome and tough and I love the push and pull relationship she has with the triplets (especially Saber). Unfortunately I felt like I didn't get to know Paul as well as the other two brothers. I enjoyed the twists and turns that take place in the plot line and the resolution is great. Just a forewarning though if you aren't into explicit scenes or Menage then I suggest searching for a different book.
I think this book started off really good, but then fell a little flat for me. Lexi started off as a headstrong woman who didn't take any crap and she turned into a sex starved submissive. Her character was the most developed, whereas the triplets were very one dimensional. I didn't learn a thing about them. Saber was the big, tough warrior that treated Lexi like she was a child and beneath him. Paul started off as a suave predator but then somewhere along the line, he became just another body and Andre, well I couldn't tell you what he looked like or give you one word to describe his personality if I had a gun to my head. Saber seemed to take up the most page time when it came to the alphas and I wasn't sure why and Andre was like a sad third wheel all of the time - even lying at Lexi's feet after sex while Saber and Paul always got to snuggle. I can't believe I'm saying this, but for a menage, this book wasn't really that steamy. Every sex scene was very similar. I also felt the writing was choppy and the use of the word "smirk" had to have shown up at least one hundred times.
With more character development, more work with the menage and less coincidences, this book would have been a whole lot better.
This book was pick for me in a pick it for me challenge in the Ménage Readers group. After being abducted, Lexi was unable to escape and about to be murdered. Lexie's been on the run - and even she doesn't know who she's running from. She's spent most of her life on the streets and she's quick, intelligent, and wary. The last time she saw her best friend was years ago - that is until her boss Jacob introduces her to his cousin Sierra who just happens to have been Lexie's best friend. When Sierra's brother in law realizes Lexie is not only his mate but also his 2 brother's mate they are triplets. When darkness draws near and Lexie is in danger the three mates must keep her safe. This was a good read and the sex scenes were hot. This was my first time reading this author work. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
Oh, smut smut smutty-smutty smut-smut. How entertaining you can be. There was some interesting character development, twists to the story, and intriguing world building... at times. But then the author would go on a ruin things with overly flowery speech that is outside of the character's normal prose, awkward info-dumping, and/or way-too-convenient explanations/resolutions. Some of the smut smut was seriously steamy, but those were almost exclusively the scenes with only one or two of the guys. . I'm pleased to have read it once, but I'm even more pleased that I only paid like $1 for this. Will not be reading it again or purchasing anything else from this author.
Were She Belongs is a menage about werewolves. Lexi doesn't know her past. She only knows that someone or something is chasing her. The only friend she ever had, she abandoned to keep safe. She gets a job as head of security at a club and runs into her long lost friend! At the same time, she meets Paul who says she is his mate. She tries to leave to keep everyone safe and gets abducted by the bad guys. Paul's brothers, Andre and Saber, help to rescue Lexi and discover that she is their mate also. There is a lot going on with the story. She discovers her true self and what powers she possesses. She has to deal with the trust issues between her and her mates. In the end she'll discover if she truly is were she belongs.
Already love the characters. Like where the story is going.Finished and reading bk1 Pearl series. If you like PNR you'll like this book. Started out great. Loved how Paul knew she was his. Liked how the brothers spoke telepathically to each other. Slight issue in middle where she was to back & forth between I want them and second thoughts. That got a little old. But after that was back to action. Liked how much happened. Will read the 2nd book. Slight issue with how long she was back & forth deciding if she wanted the triplets so the book flow slowed down. But after she did the book was great. I'm reading Stacy's Destiny now and had about 4 chapters of the back & forth. Overall, this was a good book, great story, loved the characters and will read the 2nd book.
