Despite never taking a trip to any of the excellently described stadia within this book, this made an excellently written and factual guide to European football's history, encompassing all countries and a large number of major cities in great detail, with a level of detail that made this a firm favourite to dip into. It is a credit to how well-written it is that the fact so much of it is of limited relevance to a non-traveller, it was absorbing and informative.

A great book for football enthusiast.........a groundhopper especially. Have a lot of football trivial facts, such as why juventus is the only club to have two stars on their badge,......and even which pub you should visit, or avoid..........love it............
