Cracking story with dire editing that spoilt it. Ridiculous mistakes too most of the time and in places were correct so the author CAN do it but clearly had nobody proof-reading. Such a pity to take all this trouble in creating a great story only to let it down for the sake of a good edit.
Apostrophe errors abound like parent's being used when parents' was supposed to be yet would be correct in places too which makes it all the more aggravating.
Extra words were added in some sentences yet dropped in others,he was used in place of the/blunt and not brunt/site and not sight/evening in place of even/you and not your/do and not doing and Hyundai is not spelt Hundai.
Something I found irritating was Reggie's name and information. One minute he was Reggie White and all of a sudden was Reggie Stone. Then his records showed he was interviewed in 1971 which changed to 1972 which in turn was then changed to 1977 !! Then the surname of a family changed from Grable to Graber and Harley's name morphed into Haley in one mention, too. This sort of carelessness is pretty unforgiveable.
I liked a sentence he wrote. "He often thought about how amazing it was that human beings had developed the use of lines and shapes to communicate".
I liked Harley and hope to read more stories featuring her and her special investigative gift. The story was fast-paced and interesting and each of the investigators have their own interesting stories to tell.

Introducing Detective Inspector, Helen Grace, who is my new hero. She is a tough, determined and has some of her own issues, but she must try to solve the horrible and terrifying case of a killer who captures his victims in pairs.
This nook is a dark, twisted story that is a real page turner and you can not wait to get to the next page. You will find chapter to chapter as you read you will encounter many new twists, murders, and clues.
Helen Grace is relentless in her search to fine this demented killer. I would recommend Eeny Meeny to any crime fiction enthusiast a great read. I give this book 5 stars, and I am looking forward to the next book.

The book shown is not the one I read. Good Reads pulled up the wrong title, I read Eeny Meeny by M.J.Arlidge, not the book shown here.
This is one of those detective stories that had me reading every chance I had to see what would happen next. The lead detective is a woman, a dark character with many flaws and secrets. This is the authors first book but they give you pages to the next one and announce it as a New detective series. The author ran out of steam towards the end in my opinion. You know who will live and who will die, just not sure how; but it was worth the ride.
I will most likely read the next one to see how the author grows the character of Helen Grace.

Very well written! Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Definitely the kind of book that will keep you up at night...and this is coming from someone who is a complete non-believer as far as ESP goes!

Look no further if you are trying to find an exiting suspense/horror book!

I really liked the concept behind this book. It really needs some editing and I was a little unsatisfied with the ending but it was a creepy story of a severely disturbed individual. It started out strong but did seem a bit rushed towards the mid to ending but all in all a great story.

Loved the story idea! Because of the plot I forgave the writing errors. Lots of twists and turns and a great read for paranormal mystery readers!
