Herbert Marcuse e Karl Popper realizzarono un confronto sugli scottanti temi di politica sociale, sui metodi in grado di affrontare i problemi più urgenti e sulle proposte programmatiche di una "nuova società", trasmesso dalla televisione bavarese il 5 gennaio 1971. La verità è che non si trattò di un "confronto" ma di uno "scontro" tra due sostenitori di concezioni differenti, anzi opposte, della società.

About the author

German-Jewish philosopher, political theorist and sociologist, and a member of the Frankfurt School. Celebrated as the "Father of the New Left", his best known works are Eros and Civilization, One-Dimensional Man and The Aesthetic Dimension. Marcuse was a major intellectual influence on the New Left and student movements of the 1960s.
