I thought this book would give real-world, practical tools for working with underperforming students. However, it did not do anything of the sort.

I am well-aware of the struggles: behavior problems, attendance problems, homework problems, expectations problems, and on and on. But I am not looking for more awareness, I am looking for concrete tools to address these problems.

The book, disappointingly, did not deliver on this count.
