Koko Brown is the pseudonym for a quintessential erotic romance junkie who once read over 200 Zebra Club novels the summer before her senior year in high school.

Koko’s writing career began at the tender age of nine when she self-published and distributed a newspaper to her fellow classmates. Unfortunately, her grade school school principal didn’t appreciate the competition and put her out of business after one best-selling issue.

Undaunted, Koko continued to write and read everything she could get her hands on. She honed her writing skills as a staff writer on her college’s newspaper, writing obituaries for the local newspaper, and teaching English to high school students.

One day while daydreaming in bed, Koko came up with the idea for her first erotic manuscript. Taking a hiatus from teaching, she had enough time on her hands to flesh out the story in two short weeks. A week later, she cleaned it up, then sent it to Ellora’s Cave during the Christmas holiday. By January she heard from one of their editors and by March (and many revisions) she signed a contract for her vampire novel Charmed.

Calling the east coast of Florida home, this multipublished author of interracial erotic romance loves to travel, shop in thrift stores, ride motorcycles, renovate houses, and volunteering.

Spoiler Ahead This was a good and funny story. Gideon a thousand year old half human and half demon who is diagnosed with a stress disorder so he see's a therapist. When his therapist suggests he take up ballroom dancing he is not sure that it's going to work until he meets her. Macy is a divorced reporter working on a story involving missing children in New Orleans she is in the same class as Gideon. When the teacher pairs them together for a dance competition sparks fly. I liked Macy but she had some hang ups that made me want to slap her. I liked Macy best friend Denise and she was right about pushing Macy to get back on that horse. They also meet Tante Celine a voodoo priestess who hunts demons and learns of Gideon's presence and goes after him. Macy has no idea that Gideon is only half of what he says he is and is shocked to know the other half exists. The dialogue between voodoo priestess and demon was funny When Gideon is forcefully taken away from Macy by his father is he is given a difficult choice of eternal damnation or mortality. I liked this book I have read this author before. This book was not over the top with the whole demon theme. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

Hunter’s Review

I had never read a book by this author before and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Koko Brown wrote really likable characters who have hot love scenes that steam off the page.

This isn’t a serious paranormal, at its heart it is light hearted and for me it was nice to break and enjoy the humor embedded into this tale.

Koko Brown is truly talented and I think fans of paranormals and the hot stories at Ellora’s Cave will love this book.

I though this read was more on the paranormal suspense side then shifter. yes the hero was demon but the author really didn't go into detail describe how the man look in demon mode. For me this story involved sacrifice for love. I still enjoy reading the story.
