Joy is a nationally-known speaker and has written or edited more than 100 books on grief, mostly for children.
The main characters in Joy's novels the Burned Out Old Broad novels are affectionately called the BOOB Girls. Joy believes that older, seasoned women are beautiful too!
The Johnsons are a blended family with six children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. For years now Bernese Mountain Dogs have been their colleagues and companions in work and play.
