"The real fun in relationship-building begins on the inside, and then looks outward. If I make an inner commitment to be optimistic and celebrate what's truly good about people, when I look outward, I like what I see. . . . None of that good feeling depends on the approval of other people." (p 104)

Classic amazing Chandler.

This is a gorgeous and easily digestible collection of simple "a-ha" reminders of how YOU can create something different in your relationships with everyone, both personally and professionally, and most importantly, with yourself first.

I'm sharing this book with friends and family and clients and strangers.

Read past the obvious and assess whether you're actively doing the simple things that truly create great relationships.

This is a book to always have to reflect back on and a perfect gift for others too. So many parts of this resonated deeply with me—and I had several eye-opening insights that have helped me think differently about certain relationships and my role in them.

Boring to listen to. Ideas are not unique or ground breaking.

Short and sweet but jam packed with gems. I think it serves as a good introduction into self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and communication.

Probably cheesy in some ways, but rocked my world of ideas. "There's no such thing as personality; you are what you do." The author lays the responsibility for improving the quality of all of our relationships squarely on US. To act and not be acted upon. Inspirational.

Very inspiring book. Most of it is common sense, but a lot of it sheds light to common ideas and really makes sense. Great book to read (or listen to) for some quick tips on what works in all types of relationships. (Personal, professional... similar things work in each case.)

It really makes me sad when a good book has a real bad title -_- this is one of them.. I only read parts of it a while back & it is one of those books you'll probably keep going back to.. reminded me of (A Model for Living)..
