Three recent homicides seemed unrelated until Detective CeeCee Gallagher noticed all three bodies had a similar mysterious mark. The more CeeCee investigates, the more clues point to a strange religious cult that’s moved into a nearby farmhouse, and the darker and more sinister it all seems. But whatever the cult may have done in the past, it’s no match for their truly horrifying plans for the future.

Another incredible novel in the Ceecee Gallagher series I just can't seem to get enough of this series they are all amazing stories full of action & suspense. This is a very dark and horrorifying story involving a cult & all its evil doings. Stacy has now returned to law enforcement & still plans to keep writing so I hope this is not the last of this awesome series!!!
Although I enjoyed this book I don't think that it is as good as the previous two in the series. This is mainly because the other books have the believability factor, this book keep on mentioning devastating weather systems and tsunamis, and then largely ignoring them. The story revolving around a religious cult had that air of authenticity about it though. Unfortunately this was the final book in the series until another one gets written. That is rather disappointing as I have grown to like the characters and the style of writing, still it will give me something to look forward to.
I have been enjoying reading all of Stacy Dittrich's novels. This one had me even more spellbound than the previous books of hers that I have read. Very disturbing story but brilliant writing as expected from this author. I will continue to read her books and look forward to other future stories by Stacy.
Apparently I am falling in love with cheesy detective novels! But Stacy Dittrich has taken over my last three nights! I enjoyed the fusion of environmental metaphors within the cult group, I also like how Ceecee isn't flawless, and isn't overly likeable. Now I have to buy the rest!
This book seriously needs an editor to fix all of the errors. The cult storyline was good, but the author could have dropped all the weather references without affecting it in any way. I really liked the first few books in the series, but this one missed the mark.
Once again the story l leaves me wanting MORE!. CeeCee Gallagher and crew, once again has given a view of true life, and Me. Dittrich has given me something to think about and has pulled at my heart. Thanks again. Great Read!!!
