The Thrill of Hearing the Voice of God “The harder I try to be good, the worse off I am!” If that sounds like you, there’s good news. Legendary Bible teacher Derek Prince shows the way to victorious intimacy with God. He explains how you can enter into the very presence of God to receive the spiritual, physical, and emotional blessings of true worship. Learn the secrets Prince also shows how to be freed from the bondage of guilt and sin and to obtain an inner peace and joy that nothing else can duplicate.
Derek Prince (1915-2003), was an International Bible teacher and founder of Derek Prince Ministries International, wrote more than fifty books. He was born in India of British parents. Educated as a scholar of Greek and Latin at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, he held a Fellowship in Ancient and Modern Philosophy at King’s College. He also studied Hebrew and Aramaic, at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. His daily radio broadcast, Derek Prince Legacy Radio, still reaches listeners around the world.
Prince maintains the way to enter God’s presence is symbolically through the Old Testament Tabernacle. He took a clever angle but it didn’t convince me because his argument was a stretch. For a roadmap on how to have a close, intimate relationship with God, see True Worship: Knowing God by Developing a Closer Relationship with Him.
The definitive book on understanding worship. Worship has nothing to do with religion. It has everything to do with God. Derek Prince was a Man of God. When I first heard him on an audio, he really pissed me off. The reason is that when you are morally out-to-lunch, when a Godly man tells you the truth, you have a decision to make and that decision will involve repentance or change. If you make the change, you will end up loving that man or woman. They had the effrontery to confront your error. Same thing when your parents corrected you when you were a teenager if you were lucky enough to have loving parents that would actually do the job and not coddle you like we do in our public so-called 'education' system in America. Honest people will appreciate Derek Prince. Dishonest people, well, not so much. This book looks at God's directives to Moses in the assembling of the tabernacle in the wilderness. (God's house: so-to-speak). Each feature of the tent of meeting had a purpose and was a type of what would come after in and under the new covenant. Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. The book is a truly scholarly handling of what it means to worship and HOW to do it.
I only learned of Derek Prince three months ago. What a joy it has been. I cannot read enough of his writings nor learn enough from his YouTube programs. Recently God laid a desire for prayer on my heart and this led me to Derek's book "Entering the presence of God: moving beyond praise and thanksgiving to true worship" I was not disappointed. Derek has a way of explaining principles in God's Word in a simple and direct manner. I always leave an encounter with him encouraged and eager to apply the things I have learned. There are three chapters in this book that I found particularly enlightening: Chapter 6 "Your Spirit: The Way Into The Holiest" in which he compares the Ark of the Covenant and its three contents to our attitude when praying; and Chapter 7 "Four Requirements of True Worshippers" and Chapter 9 "Our Physical Attitude of Worship" I now understand the importance of attitude - both mental and physical - better than ever before. I highly recommend this book.
I love his writings cause he writes so as I can understand ,so from his heart! I was so blessed ! I give 5 stars and will search for more of his books!!
Published from Derek Prince's writings after his death, this book is an excellent study of how to be truly intimate with God. Using the Old Testament tabernacle as his illustration, supported by texts from Hebrews and other New Testament writings, Derek Prince explains the three levels of access to God and how Christ's sacrifice makes it possible for believers to enter into genuine worship of the Almighty. Great resource for small groups, Sunday school classes or personal Bible study.
A definite must-read for Christians out there, who really desire to worship God intimately. This book gave me a fresh perspective on worship. I have applied many of the things I learnt in this book to my daily life. One of the best teachings on worship I have heard/read so far.
This book is amazing, it talks about the ark of covenant that must not be touched and on the ark were two cherubs, two heavenly creatures, in beaten gold kneeling at each end of the ark and Aarons Rod, it also talks about the mercy seat that we can step on and sit on the throne.

This book is brilliant! Clearly explains that true worship is much more than singing a few songs in church on Sunday. It is well write and easy to understand.
