This was okay. It didn't turn out how you'd expect which is why I'm a bit lukewarm.

It's about this teenage girl who is in love with this guy twice her age and she's sure he is THE ONE. Her parents don't approve for obvious reasons. She and this guy are both aspiring writers. They move in together. She gets a job working for a successful but unhappy author. Living with her boyfriend gets old fast because in addition to household duties she has a job while he mooches around, wants sex every night and develops a bromance with a neighbour who eats all their food. She moves back home. This prompts him to get a job and since he's changed they get together again and get married.

The ending seemed VeRy UnLiKEly

I felt a bit cheated... at the beginning of the book it was set up like it was going to be a "how to get over a hopeless love" type of story but at the end of the book they ended up together which was extremely unsatisifying. :(

This is part 3 in a series and one of the reviews of the first book was like, "UH DID I JUST SEE A 16 YEAR OLD GET GROOMED???!" and lowkey I kinda feel the same. The problem of falling for the wrong person is totally relatable (which is why I was excited at the beginning of this book!) but the relationship turning into what it was just felt like a massive nope for me.
